This is one of those hidden gems in a small East Texas town. I had driven out to Cleveland on business and was kind of hungry. I spotted this place where lots of people were going in and out, made a u-turn and decided to check out their drive-through. Wrong move, the line moves like molasses on a cold day. Once I got to the window the gentleman who helped me was very nice. He suggested that I try the croissant and also the large spicy kolache with cheese. I couldn’t leave without getting a donut. I have to say that I didn’t eat all of it. The kolache and the breakfast croissant or both huge so I just had a few bites of each. The croissant was fluffy, the sausage inside was mildly spicy and the egg patty was pretty good. It wasn’t greasy. By comparison, I wasn’t a huge fan of the kolache. The kolache bread was delicious. It was light, fluffy, and somewhat sweet. The meat was strangely salty. I took a few bites and that was it for me. I seem to have a real problem with either too much salt or not enough salt on items that I order out at restaurants these days. The glazed doughnut was on point. It was light, and had just the right amount of sugar coating. Probably too much sugar for that time of the morning. Again just another couple of bites and I was done. Would I drive out to Cleveland just to get these donuts, kolaches and breakfast croissants? Probably not. But if you’re in the area do yourself a favor and go by. Just don’t go through the drive-through. Take yourself inside.

Average donut place. Quality is better than other local places. Price is reasonable. Only criticism is the customer service.

Really good kolaches. I’ve not had anything else there except kolaches and coffee. The coffee is well, coffee much like you would expect to get at a snackbar like a high school football game. In a small styrofom cup maybe 6 oz. When I asked for sugar and cream, I got the packets of sugar and powered creamer. If they started serving larger coffees and offered real half n half, I would have given more stars. This little shop could be so much more than it is just by serving better coffee. Until then I’ll go to McDs for my cup o joe!
