6/7/2016.opening day! The picking is fabulous. $ 2.90lb. And worth every penny. The Mountain Muffins, Blueberry Lemonade, and Cookies are so good, they make you almost forget why you came there in the first place! The Beery Patch is truly family friendly and the berries are SO healthy for you. Be sure to take your sun screen, bug repellent, and water. I picked 12.5lbs of berries in about 2 hours. I bet that will last my wife and I about a week! Go have fun. and save some berries for me!

Great place to pick black berries and blue berries. Its super easy to get started. Ask questions… They are friendly. I would drive down to the lower parking lot if you have children or just lazy. Blueberries were plentiful. Blackberries were a pain, but if you picked blackberries you know my pain. If you want some planters to start a blueberry trees in your yard they will explain EVERYTHING to you. So much knowledge!

What is NOT to like? We go to the Berry Patch on July 4th most years to go blueberry picking as a family. It is always a great time and a wonderful family activity! This season was awesome for picking! After we finished picking, we enjoyed freshly baked scrumptious blueberry muffins — they were incredible!!!

They do a decent job of keeping their web site updated, which is a big help so you can tell how the picking is going to be for the day. With the cool days we had this summer I always checked it before we headed out, as the berries do best when it is very hot outside. Staff is friendly and the baked goods are soooo delicious. They allow you to drive your car to lots near the fields, which is a bonus for elderly or anyone who doesn’t want to drive back to the shop after picking. It’s not that far(depending on which field they are picking for the day) but when you’ve spent 2 hours in the hot sun then walking might be too much for some. Great family activity which I highly recommend.

This is a really nice place for a early morning family weekend activity. Everyone can grab a bucket, head to one of the patches that are open and pick a lot of blueberries or blackberries in mid July. Theu also sell good jams and freshed baked blueberry muffins. They’re starting to get real popular so please check their picking report on their website to see if the picking will be good that day.

This place was great and something different to do. They were further away than some of the other places that are similar but this is the largest patch in the metro and they allow children. Expect to walk a ways because you have yo walk to the designated patch of the day so you can get good bushes to pick from. They have a great shop where you can purchase muffins, cookies and other goodies. They also have a great kids area so you can let your kids play.

This place seems like it’s far away, but it’s a quick drive south on 69H from Overland Park. They only offer berry picking a few months out of the year and never on Sunday’s or Monday’s. I like to go in the early evening during the week to avoid crowds and the risk of the bushes being completely picked over. The location is quiet, beautiful and I promise that the blueberries will be the best you’ve ever tasted! Once you taste these blueberries, you’ll have a hard time buying them from the store because they just don’t taste as good. When you arrive, just get a bucket, pick as many berries as your heart desires and check out inside their shop for berry weigh-in. The shop also offers homemade jams, honey and pastries. Make sure you wear bug repellent or your could get some serious chigger bites(you’re in the country)! The blackberry patch is a little bit overgrown and there are lots of burrs, so be careful. The patch only allows blackberry picking two days a week, so check a website or call to find out the available days. I would spend more time with the blueberries than the blackberries, as the blackberries I’ve picked are usually a bit too sour.
