This is the business owner of Bill’s Dry Cleaning. We are sorry to hear about your dissapointing experience. However, we have had no record of this complaint in our store or any related transaction in our recent files. We are still willing to help you and search for your dress with just your name and/​or phone number. Any garments that are heavily soiled, have spots (whether it be wine or blood), have fragile embroidery, ornaments, and or coloring require more time for proper care (especially fragile and temperature sensitive materials) in which we inform our customers, as most of our wonderful customers already have an understanding of. We manage very well to have all of our customers garments ready to pick up otherwise. We have a policy that we are not responsible for any garments that have been left for over 30 days, but many of our customers may tell you that they are lucky to find that we still keep some beyond that timeline. But we also do not have a dress left from a previous customer, so we are not sure if you may have us confused with another store? We have also made changes for the better and changed management this year, so it is important to leave feedback whether good or bad for the right business at the right time.

Dropped of two dresses here and went back the next week and was told only one of them was ready. Went back a week later to pick up the other dress and they told me they didn’t have it and had no record of me ever dropping it off. I looked for my receipt but I remembered I had left it with them I picked up the other dress. If you want to keep your clothes I suggest going someplace else.

Had an emergency wedding alteration! Had to find something ASAP and close… I tried this place and it was great !! They did an amazing job altering my dress in 1 day and it was perfectly pressed! Love my new place for dry cleaning!!!

Since the new owners took over a few months ago service has vastly improved. A really convenient location and great service. I’m happy to recommend them now.

I wish that I could give 0 stars. This establishment was unprofessional and did terrible work. They returned 8 silk shirts with stains and made several excuses before blaming the work on the «plant». They would not reimburse the cost of the shirts and claimed that they were doing me a favor by not charging for the cleaning. Given the cost of the shirts they ruined, this was easily the most expensive dry cleaning run I have ever done.
So upset that I created an account to leave this review.

This cleaners is literally the worst cleaners I have ever been to. In one week they returned a brand new dress shirt we sent in to be pressed dirty and then they ruined a $ 200 shirt of mine and won’t give it back. I am making the statement that unless you want to take a risk with your clothes getting ruined or coming back worse than your dropped them off, go somewhere else.

Bill’s cleaners gets the job done and is a very convenient option for downtown residents. Speaking purely from a male perspective, they do a fine job on dress shirts and suits. They will occasionally destroy a button on a dress shirt, which is admittedly annoying, but I have never had a shirt permanently ruined by them (I have used them for dress shirts daily for over a year and a half). Prices are around $ 2 per shirt for starch on hangers, which is not the cheapest, but again the location is unbeatable.
Turnaround times can be on the longer side, usually a week to be safe. I have dropped dress shirts off on a Saturday morning and stopped in on a Friday morning only to find they were not ready yet.
Overall, based on my experience, they are a safe option for dress shirts, and this appears to be their core business.
They do not accept American Express and have a $ 10 minimum for credit cards.

I’ve only been here a handful of times, but each time I got my clothes back there have been long black hairs on everything (I’m blonde, so they obviously aren’t mine). I even pulled a giant black hairball wad out of the wool on one of my sweater sleeves while in a work meeting. I wanted to puke it was so gross.

Bill’s is a textbook example of why geographic monopolies are bad for consumers. On several occasions, they returned my clothes still dirty. Accidents happen, true enough, but their refusal to correct them and their unapologetic attitude were unacceptable. Now, rather than walk my clothes next door to Bill’s, I drive them across the bridge to get them cleaned.
Downtown denizens need another option.
