This restaurant used to be Meme’s. They offer Traditional Southern Country Cooking.
They have a Buffet Monday — Friday from 10:30 — 3 pm. The buffet has a variety of meats, vegetables soup and dessert. It is rather expensive at $ 7.65 per person.
IMO, if they are going to charge Golden Corral prices, they need to offer more items on the buffet. Especially since Golden Corral is just about 3 miles down the road from them on Stuart Road.
Cameron’s Restaurant, on Dooley Street has a much better variety and they are less expensive.
The food is good, but because of the high price we will probably not return here!

New country restaurant that opened here in July. It’s called Carla’s Country Cooking. It’s in an old building and they have signs outside and inside promoting bar b q. But, they also have a country buffet for about $ 7.50. Your drink will be extra.
I got their bar b q special which includes a bar b q sandwich, fries and a drink for $ 6.50. They will ask you if you want coleslaw to tack in an additional $ 1. They don’t tell you this and I didn’t find out until it came to pay. Thus they get a pretty good review. Congratulations Carla’s Country Cooking to opening recently.
The bar b q sandwich was good but I have had better sauce. It’s a brown bar b q sauce.
Now, this is a mom and pop restaurant and I will give them another try later to possibly get more stars.
I just feel like they should have told me about the slaw being an extra charge. z
