Clean. Fresh. Smoke This neighborhood bar is an oasis sitting at the west end of the Harvard Denison Bridge between Mittall Steel and Alcoa on the east and arough part of the Brooklyn Centre neighborhood to the west. This bar is easily accesible fromm anywhere as it sits just off OH176 just 5 minutes from downtown. It’s easier to find than most bars in Tremont. The place is spotless, spic and span from floor to ceiling, even the liquor bottles behind the bar seem polished. The inside of the bar is a simple 20 ft. long bar with half dozen tables. Outside is a red wooden deck with a bar and a corn hole court. Drinks are very reasonably priced, as is the bar food menu. Everything on the menu, salad, sandwiches, wings, burgers, while not always cooked to perfection are fresh, and tasty. I had the Philly Cheese Steak special which was hot, fresh and tasy wit ha little zing. Onion rings were slightly overdone. The staff is attentive and friendly. The crowd all seems to know each other, and blue collar. Evern though you may not be one of the crowd, they are typically polite and welcoming– and they smoke, and smoke and smoke, on the patio. l If you are looking for an unpretentious, value priced, easy to find, friendly neighborhood bar, this is the place– if you can handle the smoke.
