Dr. Gitiforooz has a terrible bedside manner — didn’t explain her recommended method of contraception or interactions with my other prescriptions. She avoided explaining the length of time between test and results. When I eventually received my results(4 – 6 weeks later) I was instructed to schedule a very invasive procedure. Those results took some time, which I understand, but when I went for a follow up, she had no clue who I was or the last time I had been in which was only 6 months prior. I was very unhappy and switched to another doctor on the same floor. The doctor advised which tests she’d be performing which I appreciated and took the time to review my medications and the interactions with oral contraception. I also requested a test from my previous abnormal results with Gitiforooz which reported negative — how is that possible? Also, the new gyno recommended some other prescription after reviewing past results. Unbelievable. I’ve read before, but will reiterate, if you want to have a bad day, visit Dr. Gitiforooz.

Dr. Gitiforooz delivered our first child last year and our experience has been extremely pleasant. She is knowledgeable, caring and accommodating. She has everything you could want in a doctor, dedicated, honest and upfront, no-nonsense doctor who KNOWS her stuff! We recommend her and would give her more than 5 stars, if we could.

Dr. Gitiforooz was my gyn while I lived in Cleveland a while back. I was very unhappy with her mannerisms and lack of communication. She once had me schedule an appointment with her to go over some test results, and then led me to believe that the tests had come back positive… I only found out at my next appointment with Dr. Tara Gustilo Ashby(see below) that the tests had actually come out negative. My coworker(who had an unfavorable experience with Dr. Gitiforooz also) ended up referring me to Dr. Tara Gustilo Ashby who was MUCH better. She was also a part of the Cleveland Clinic at the time, took the same insurance, and was very easy to communicate with.
