I was glad to find a late-hour convenience store open so close to downtown Cleveland. Late-hour, however, is a relative term. It was just before 10 p.m. and as I was walking in the attendant, or owner(I am not sure) was walking hurriedly to the door. «I’m closing now,» he said in a rushed, semi-annoyed tone. I wanted to respond, «Do you want my money or not?» A quick glance at the posted hours revealed that on this particular night, the shop shut down at 10 p.m. It was about 9:52 — ample time for me to quickly grab what I wanted and go. Also ample time to avoid being accosted at the door. Anyway — this is your standard, run of corner shop with necessary junk food, drinks and trinkets. I found it strange that the shop did not have any chilled wine, but they had the nerve to actually chill wine coolers. Wow. And &8 for a bottle of Sutter Home Wine, one among a very, very small wine selection? Not worth it.
