But trust me, that’s a good thing.
While getting to this little, local costume and magic shop is a bit of a hike, it’s worth it if you’re serious about your outfit. How serious? Over 7,000 rental costumes – that’s how serious.
Need to make a specialty order of wigs for your live theater characters? They’ll gladly get them to you ASAP. Need a giant, furry mascot to dress up as? This is your place, people.
Honestly, I walked in and the first thing I noticed were two royal king and queen chairs. I don’t know what the hell I’d use those for, but that’s the kind of thing that makes me want to plan a party around those bad-​boys. Royal ball, anyone?
There was the nicest employee there too, who was helping a teacher order costumes for the upcoming play their school was throwing. He said «hello» to me a gracefully chatted with the both of us, without making one feel more important than the other. Now that’s tricky.
From the looks of it, not many people know about this place because it’s not very busy. But if I can point a few folks in the right direction when they’re looking for school mascot level customs? Then I’ve done the right thing. This is exactly the kind of local business that makes Cleveland a gem.
