Locksmiths: the butts of Unilocal jokes… My workplace has an early 00s Isuzu truck and making duplicate keys for it was a pain. Its teeth were not well worn. I had first taken it to a different mom n’ pop hardware store. They made the key. It barely fit in the door, and didn’t even start the truck. I also had that other business make a copy of that one pesky office door that I have. That didn’t work either. Next stop, the Home Depot. Nada, we can make that truck key, don’t have it. Ditto, we can’t duplicate the key that says ‘no duplicates allowed’(never mind this is for a business, showed them my card). 3rd stop, Alexander Hardware near my work, made a copy of the office key — which didn’t work, although were upfront they didn’t have the truck key, and recommended me to come here: I’m glad I did. The friendly people behind the counter were knowledgeable and after about 5 – 10 minutes of sleuthing, they figured it out the proper key type and were able to make several copies in under 10 minutes. They even made copies of my Club key and the locksmith wasn’t sure if it was the correct type(it was) and offered me to come back for a free one if it didn’t work. Each key that I made was under $ 4. They also did the ‘do not duplicate’ keys without a problem. Don’t worry about parking, there’s several spaces on the street if you’re desperate. Not far from downtown, and I-90. I recommend Karnis for your locksmith needs and will continue to go there in the future.
