Quicken Loans Arena

The Q is a real nice arena that is very engaging. It is surprisingly large and conveniently located in downtown. The in arena experience is enjoyable.
Negatives include really tight space and legroom in the seats. The really pack you in there. This is a new arena, so it is relatively clean. But, there’s nothing real special about it. Food is blah and drinks are standard.
I do love the tunnel to downtown and connection to the tower. It’s a secret that locals know. If you don’t know, now you know.

I had a great time watching the Cleveland Cavaliers play in Quicken Loans Arena. It didn’t hurt that I had amazing seats. The arena itself is pretty nice! The restrooms and dining spots are clearly labeled and pretty easy to find. It is also pretty great that they have a two-​floor Cavaliers store for anyone who wants to buy a last minute t-​shirt, jersey, or about a thousand other trinkets! I purchased a t-​shirt for a pretty decent price– I actually think it was cheaper than the shirts at the local Dicks Sporting Goods. The staff in the arena was pretty helpful and drinks were sold by vendors walking up and down the steps.
Things to note: If you do not want to get up during the game, I would recommend that you bring CASH so you can catch a vendor walking on the stairs. Also, be prepared and come early so parking will not be an issue. There are various parking lots but you do not want to be the person that has to walk ¾ of a mile to the arena… it could happen.

Never a dull moment at The Q. Music, dancers, cheers, noise, Sir C. C., Moondog, drums, hug cam, games, shirt and ball toss and more! This time during the National Anthem the U.S. flag was projected on the floor. Really neat, tho probably not the best choice since etiquette says we are not to put the flag on the ground, which I am a strong supporter of flag etiquette. Other than that everything was FUN.

The greatest place to catch a cavs game or even Disney on ice. $ 10 for a beer, just a little rediculous if you ask me. However, we always have a great time at the Q and will most certainly be back.

So I came here to see a Lake Erie Monsters hockey game and had an awesome time! Recently I posted about seeing the Hurricanes play in NC and I said how lousy their fans were. No support for their team at all. Now this place was very much alive AND they didn’t have many people in the arena. I’m only comparing because it just goes to show its the fans that make a sporting event fun or boring.
We got seats right behind the glass which was amazing! Everytime these guys hit the boards our seats shook haha Wish I could have seats like that to all the hockey games I attend! I liked the arena overall as well. Nice and clean and very friendly staff working there. They really get into the whole set up on the hockey games too. They had a big blow up «monster» they presented on the ice right before the game and the crowd went nuts. Very cool!
Another thing I liked about this place– we went and ordered drinks and the girl gives me the drinks and actually asks me if I want an extra cup of soda for my captain and Coke because the drink was that strong haha I’ve never been asked that question before. «Do you want extra soda for your drink?» Wow! Lol awesome. She was the sweetest girl too. Shoulda asked her name. All I know is she worked at the drink place «Cleveland on the rocks» I believe it was called– or something to that effect. Anyway– service rocked! And drinks were super cheap compared to other arenas I’ve been to.
One other thing I thought was cool– I tweeted a photo of my fiancé and I to the monsters while we were at the game and they showed our photo, along with other fans photos, numerous times during the game. I also had seats right next to the players box and it’s the first time I ever got to give «pounds» to the players as they walked out of the locker room and onto the ice. It was really exciting. Definitely had a great experience here!
I know the Monsters aren’t an NHL team– but if you love just the game of hockey– come check out one of their games! They did lose this one– but just by one goal bleh! Still was an awesome time!

I got to enjoy the arena during the Cavs regular season opener this year. It’s a nice set up, and as others have said, it’s hard not to be impressed by the Huge-​whateveryouwanttocallit-​TRON. But my favorite part– fire shoots out from it. And you can feel the warmth on your face & it’s amazing. Can you tell I’m a pyro? I feel like the beer selection could be better though.

Quicken Loans Arena, How I adore and hate you. Everything is super expensive even with the great local Cleveland restaurants in the arena. We had B spot yesterday and man I love B spot but the burgers were just not done as well. I know that when you are pumping out a billion burgers, it is bound to happen but when you pay 10 dollars for a burger and 9 bucks for a beer, eeesssh. Oh but the pickles at B spot, my favorite ever!!! Prices are really only the bad thing, come on a water for $ 4.50. This arena really does a good job getting everyone into the moment. From music to giveaways, I love experiencing the atmosphere the crowds and the shows! I would definitely recommend everyone coming to to the arena, maybe eat before but get ready for a show!

Why 4 stars? Because the entertainment is as good as it gets, but the concourses need work.

For anyone that knows me, I’m a die hard Cleveland sports fan, despite only living there for about 9 months (thanks Dad.) I spent a stupid amount of money to fly up from Tampa to Cleveland for the NBA Finals a few months ago, and I’ve also been to the Q a couple of other times. So I’ll try not to be biased, but let me get the good stuff out of the way.
The video board is the biggest arena screen in the NBA. It’s unbelievable. When sitting in the upper bowl especially, it’s tempting to just watch the screen like you’re sitting in your living room… except that you have about a 1,000 foot screen in front of you. I constantly have to remind myself to look down at the actual court. Also, it shoots fire during the pre game introductions, so there’s that.
Everything from the PA announcer, to the Emcee, to the general electricity in the building (especially during the Finals, obviously) is great. So basically, any part of the experience from your seat is as good as it gets.
The problems here live on the concourse. I don’t think I’ve ever felt as claustrophobic in a sports venue, as I did at the Q. With LeBron in town, every game is a sell out with 20,562, so it’s not as if there’s ever a relief in the amount of people coming out. I wish something could be done about this, but I’m not sure there’s a solution outside of something that would cost nearly as much as an entirely new building.
There’s also basically no point in having a team store during a Cavs game. They push what feels like 1,000 people in a space meant for 200 max, and the check-​out line looks like it’s about an hour long. Unless you come in the building as soon as the gates open, and sprint right to the team store, I can’t imagine that this is ever a fun experience.
Dan Gilbert (the owner) is practically a personal hero of mine. If anyone can fix that situation, it’s him, but I’m not sure it’s fixable.

Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus was great!! the show was eye catching and kept us interested. We went to the 3pm show on Sunday. Entry was made easy. The facility was clean. Only issue was our usher — Mike. He checked our tickets like 5 times rudely. I also over heard him say he hated stupid people when a family had to be moved because they were in the wrong section. However the usher that replaced him at intermission-​Eric was great I saw him assist a mother and her small child to their seats holding their beverages for them.

My first experience watching an event at Quicken Loans Arena was awesome!
The Q is just looks impressive even from a distant! And I was just in awe when I saw that Jumbotrons! I just could not take my eyes off these Megatrons! You do have a good view and won’t miss any actions no matter where you sit in the arena.
Washroom is plentiful and clean. Beers at $ 8 a little pricey but it is event pricing. I do like the various food options available including B-​Spot for a burger.
A indoor walkway from and to RTA Tower City Station makes taking public transportation so convenient even on a rainy evening!
I wish I can have one of those HUMONGOTRONs at home…

Drove from Chicago to Cleveland to see Garth Brooks here! My overall experience was great and I had an excellent time!

As a music lover and photographer I have travelled all over the country to see bands and been in many arenas — but most pale in comparison to Quicken Loans Arena. Now, before you say I am biased because I live in Ohio, let me say two things one, I am from Louisiana and only been here in Ohio for 15 years… And second my sister and I are the house photographers for the Covelli Centre in Youngstown so I’m not biased to Cleveland at all. What I do know is that for an arena of its size Quicken loans arena has impeccable staff and I was amazed at the customer service throughout the night.
I have seen several concerts in the past at The Q but this was the first since they redid things several years back. No longer do you have to settle for popcorn and hot dogs while you are at a show or event, you now have wonderful places to eat like Michael Symons BSpot, Chris Hodge’s Hodge Podge and more where you can get quality food at a decent price! We truly enjoyed our Hodge’s Tots with their Yum Yum sauce and an order of Lola Fries from BSpot while we waited for Motley Crue to go onstage. Next time we will remember NOT to eat first so we can sample more great places!
Looking forward to my next event here already!

Worst experience of my life. Never going here for a show ever again. Wasted $ 300 dollars on a show for it to be worth less. We got kicked out of a show because I took the picture below. All of our friends got to stay but us, thanks for ruining our father day.

Came into town to see Taylor Swift and the staff was friendly and helpful. The seats have plenty of room and are comfy. The arena holds 15,000 people but still had a way of making it feel intimate. The parking ramp appears simple — but I stayed at the Residence Inn Downtown Cleveland which is literally across the street — maybe a 5 minute walk max — which I highly recommend for those planning to go to event and are spending the night.

Went to a game for a chance to see LeBron James and Kyrie Irving (Go Duke!) and was pleasantly surprised. Its a very nice arena. Yes, you go through a metal detector, but is that a big deal? I guess it just says more about Cleveland than it does about the stadium or game-​day experience. Honestly, I think they are probably ahead of the curve as more and more stadiums will head towards metal detectors. I also LIKED the ticket app. Maybe because I’m from a tech generation, but you don’t have to worry about losing your tickets or leaving them at home. Whats not to like about that?
The game was fun. Not a fan of either team (or the NBA in general). However, its an experience. Lots of lights, flames, a «Humungo-​tron» (their words, not mine). Lots of contests, chances for free stuff, interactive games throughout the game. Food and drink is standard stadium stuff. Cavs won big so everyone was happy. Energy was never waning throughout the game which made it more fun.

Love coming to watch the Cavs play.
Yes, you will have to go through a metal detector to get in. Where do you not have to do this nowadays? (who cares)
Yes, you will have to download the Flash Seats APP to receive your tickets (which I think is great!!! you can use your phone to get in and dont have to worry about losing your tickets. They even print you an actual paper ticket once they scan the app so you can keep that as a keepsake if you would like to do so).
The staff were all very friendly and more than happy to answer any of our questions.
The Cavs kids put on a great show in between quarters. The hype men were great! They went around and gave a bunch of kids high 5’s. Both mascots (the dog and pirate (?) person) were very active.
The cheerleaders & hype men threw a lot of small balls & t-​shirts into the audience for Cavs fans to keep.
The only thing I didn’t like was the seating. We were in the 2^nd row and the chairs are not bolted to the ground. They are very crappy. If you bump into them the whole row of chairs moves. They are also kind of small. I’m no skinny girl but I’m def not 400lbs either. It would be nice to have a little more room so you’re not so crowded.
We had a fabulous time and plan to go back… soon I hope.

Quicken Loans Arena is awesome, especially for the Cleveland Cavaliers game. Not a bad seat in the house. I barely waited for the bathroom, for beer or snacks. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I do hate that the drinks and food are over priced. Could have better options too.

Quicken Loans is easily the best basketball arena in America, hands down! Home of the Cleveland Cavaliers, this place really helps the slogan «Cleveland Rocks» reign true!
From the Humungo-​Tron with 4 enormous screens and flames that shoot out at big moments, to the boxing style announcer, to the best team in the NBA playing on the court, this place is a blst from start to finish.
I am in love with Cleveland sports, and Progressive Field (The Jake) and First Energy are wonderful but the atmosphere in The Q is unmatched. Sellouts every night make it the perfect place to watch a basketball game. And the intro video projected on the court with the player introductions is the coolest thing in sports. Go any chance you get! Id give kt 10 stars if i could. Go Cavs!

Came here for a company outing to see the Cavs.
The game was exciting and the seats we had were on the floor so we had a great view. The only issue is the moronic ticket policy where you need to download an app (Flash Seats) that takes forever to load and is ponderous to use. Once this is installed on your phone you then need to scan each person through separately and if they are not all there you are forced to wait behind the metal detectors where it is difficult to see who is arriving.
All this so you cannot scalp tickets. King Whathisname can make tens of millions but if some poor schlub wants to sell his tickets and make a few bucks that is a big no-​no.

Review deserves an update. The last time I attended, it was this game against the Lakers where most Lakers fouled out of the game leaving only 4 eligible players AND the Cavs still lost. The 2013 – 14 season stadium was half-​empty and hotdogs sold for a dollar.
Wow, several upgrades later since my last visit, I notice a better sound system, a ginormous HD jumbotron, a court projection system hologram thingamajig that’s so awesome, and a team that can possibly win! Bottled water’s now $ 4.25 though…
