Listen guys. Snow Bros is AMAAAAAZING. I’ve had it probably 5 times now and a different combo each time. I love it because it’s now super sweet or heavy, but it is such a refreshing treat! From what I’m told, Shaved Snow is a Taiwanese treat that is taking off on the coasts and has now made its way to Cleveland! It’s basically ice cream that is shaved into ribbons from a frozen block, so it’s really kind of fluffy and smooth. Then, they cover it in delicious toppings, like fruit, mochi, boba, red bean, crunchy cereal, nuts, and a sweet drizzle like sweetened condensed milk. I’ve built my own, but then I started going with their«specials» and I really think you can’t go wrong there! My favorites have been the matcha green tea special, and the cold brew coffee special(made with Rising star… Yummm!). So glad to have Snow Bros in Cleveland!

Want a light dessert that’s ever so refreshing? Well look no further– CLE has shaved snow! No, it’s not the iced snow cones you get with the artificial flavoring, or the coarser iced desserts you may find at some restaurants, but shaved snow is a smooth consistency, similar to ice cream, yet lighter. It’s shaved«ice» consisting of frozen feathery milk flakes that come together to form a light and smooth consistency-it’s the perfect light comfort dessert(that is somewhat healthy as well!) I’ve had shaved snow on the west coast(Class 302!!!), but had been craving it for years to arrive in the Midwest– and it finally has, with the arrival of SnowBros. They’re rather new at the moment(just have been popping up at night markets and fairs –check their website for their schedule), and CLE truly has welcomed them with happy arms and stomachs. Now let’s get down to the food(what I’ve tried): –James Snow– green tea shaved snow, with strawberries and cornflake crunch– it was so good and tasty! Loved how authentic the green tea tasted, and the strawberries were fresh! Cornflake crunch was satisfying too-who doesn’t like a little sweet crunch on their dessert! –Black sesame shaved snow(they were testing, so not sure if this will make it into the normal line up), with mochi and condensed milk topping– omg, it was so smooth and light! The mochi was good too by the way-none of that weird organic hard mochi you find at some ice cream places, but nice and soft and chewy. Mmmm. I also heart black sesame. A lot. Haha. I’m sure the other flavors are great too. I have yet to try them but they look good. Really good. I really think snowbros meets the competition of the west of the shaved snows– their shaved snow is top notch and it’s so smooth. Sooooooooo smooth. If you want a dessert that’s ever so refreshing– check out snowbros-it’s definitely worth it!

Really enjoyed my shaved snow(or ice, depending on whom you talk with) treat from SnowBros at the Night Market. Being somewhat new to the dessert, I loved that the brothers were able to answer my questions and talk. The dessert tasted great and had a generous portion — filled to the brim in a large cup. My only recommendations would be to have different sizes(I split mine with 2 people) and more variety in toppings. Overall, I loved my dessert and would definitely get it again!

So first of all, these guys serve shaved SNOW, not shaved ice. Shaved snow is the new Asian dessert trend that is hitting cities all over the nation. Shaved ice is exactly what the name sounds like — it’s basically ice shavings, topped with condensed milk, fruit, and/or asian toppings like red bean, green bean, boba, mochi, etc. Shaved ice does not exist in Cleveland, as far as I know. Shaved snow is a cross between shaved ice and ice cream. Think of it like taking a pint of ice cream rather than a block of ice and making shavings out of it. Then add the toppings that I mentioned above. These guys debuted their shaved snow at the nightmarket last week. Their shaved snow is very good! Tasted exactly like the shaved snow you would find in California or New York. I love these guys just for that! My one qualm is that they are lacking in Asian toppings. As of the time of this review, they have red bean, mochi, boba, fruits(like strawberries), and cornflakes(?!). Bring some small and large red bean, green bean, ai yu jelly, grass jelly, lychee, and five stars it is! They do NOT have a storefront, but they said they would be getting a truck soon!

Checked out these gents on their first night at the Cleveland Night Market. Looks to be an interesting addition to the food culture to our city. So, if you don’t know already, shaved ice is a classic frozen treat in many Asian countries– often topped with sweet toppings like fruit, red beans, mochi, etc… It’s an amazing treat, especially when the heat rises. There was quite a line to get a taste but it gave me the chance to my choices. The brothers James and John, I think, we’re very friendly and answered the questions people had patiently. I got a traditional ice with condensed milk and raspberries and mochi. It was tasty, though I would have liked to put more ingredients in mine. Good quality raspberries and finely shaved ice made for a refreshing treat. It’d be nice to have one that had The Works so you could get a sample of all the toppings. Next time I’ll get the red beans, and it’d be nice to get other traditional ingredients like sweet corn. Looking forwards to coming back again. Great job guys!
