I absolutely loved my time here! This is not one of those reviews that has an extreme biased because I secretly work at the salon or one of them is a good friend of mine. I found this salon by looking online at cleveland’s top hair salons and this was ranked in the top 5.
Now, historically I have not had the smoothest rides when it comes to hair salons. Usually, I wait an hour after my appointed time before they even start on my hair and I feel like just another number that is paying someone’s rent. Usually they don’t EVER do my hair they way I ask and I end up in a frenzy with the stylist and end up looking like mustard and ketchup. But this time was magically different! Manesha, my new hair stylist (I’m proud to say) took such good care of me. Being a natural hair person, I am picky when it comes to who handles my hair. Not everyone knows what they’re doing when it comes to my natural curls!
I got my hair colored as well as a half highlight and it turned out absolutely fabulous!
She catered to what I HAD IN MIND and she even offered me a complimentary beverage and snack. She gave me a head message after she shampooed me/​during the hair process and she LISTENED to what I had to say. I felt truly appreciated as a customer when I was there and I GREATLY recommend anyone to go in and enjoy the same treatment!
They are also priced very reasonably and you truly get what you pay for!

Got a great haircut and color from Jackie and Tracy. Color is phenomenal. Carmelly brown with highlights. Stated an hour late to finish me up. And they have wine!!! I prefer a red but the white was good. Great experience!

I tried this place a few times for cuts, color and their hair straightening services, and while I think the people who work here are talented and genuinely care about providing great service, I ultimately stopped going here after one of their hair straightening services burned my hair off at the root (and didn’t straighten the hair I had left), even though they talked me into a really expensive conditioning treatment first that was supposed to protect my hair. I brought this to their attention, but all they did was offer me a discount to try the same service again. It took a year for my hair to grow back, and when it did, it was really fragile. I felt like their prices were on the high side, but they do offer some promotions and discounts for repeat customers. I didn’t really feel like the quality of my cuts and color were worth the price. I also felt they were way too pushy with products and they got a little snotty with me once for buying some products on eBay to save money (sorry, but I can’t afford to spend $ 30 on a bottle of shampoo). The stylists and owner are very well trained and continue their education so they are aware of the latest trends and techniques. They have an online appointment system which went glitchy on me a few times (scheduled me at the wrong time). I think it is a decent salon, but due to my incident, I ultimately decided to stop going there. When you burn someone’s hair off, you need to make it right.

The best shampoo ever! A heated, massaging chair, hot towel on the neck, and a scalp massage at no additional charge. Rachel is very personable, asking a lot of questions making sure you’re comfortable with what she is cutting. I’ve been looking for a new salon since my last one closed, and I have found it! Next appointment set for 8 weeks from now. Oh, and they also give free bang trims in between appointments.

If you want to get amazing color, ask for Rachel! She’s the owner & she did such a great job with my dye job. I asked for a blue black & she gave me exactly that. The color lasted for a while too.
I can’t wait to go back to her so she can re-​do the purple streak that another stylist did (it wasn’t done at this salon though)!

After not having a stylist for the past two years my partner and I decided to visit Solstice and try it out since it is very close to our home. We both were scheduled with Natalie for cuts and color. Natalie was AMAZING! I definitely recommend her!

About 11 years ago I happened to get a coupon in the mail about a hair salon close to my house. I called and Rachel was the only girl that had an opening at the time. I went to her, fell in love and I have yet to find a better more honest and caring stylist. She opened up her own salon and expanded just a few years later.
I know this sounds like a cheesy bias review but let me explain. I moved to Chicago in 2007 and I have tried to find other stylists in the city and it has been a major fail. Every time I go to Cleveland I call Rachel and she makes sure to fit me in (even tho she is really busy).
The prices are just perfect. Come on would you rather pay 175 for a keratin treatment or 300 plus???
She is extremely honest and that’s rare. If you want a hair color and it will not be good for your hair, she will tell you instead of charging you for a triple process.
I absolutely love her hair cuts. I call them the old fashioned way because she takes her time. Nowadays stylists cut the bottom part, split the hair in 3 parts in the back, pretend to give u some layers and call it a day. I have a crazy amount of hair. 6 minutes haircuts are not gonna cut it, for the lack of a better term. Not Rachel! Go to her and you will see what I mean. Now, let’s talk about the fact that she is amazing at color. So innovative and so educated in the department. She even is an instructor for Matrix. Helloooo!
The new salon has a separate hair washing room with beautiful colors and relaxing ambiance. The girls even give you a mini facial/​massage thing after they wash your hair. What more can a girl ask for?
I have suggested a few of my friends to her and they absolutely adore Rachel and her crew. Try out the salon, you WILL not be disappointed.
