I know southwest sometimes gets a bad wrap for the cattle call boarding procedures, but I actually must give cudos for several reasons. There is no checked bag fee, their phone app is pretty slick, they rarely are not on time, and they actually provide snacks and drinks on the flights. More importantly, I recently forgot to grab a bag under my seat on the plane and as I was leaving security in Columbus, OH I got a call on my cell phone that they would be meeting me at the luggage office to give me my bag. I didnt have a tag or phone number on it. So it obviously took a little extra effort to is the bag and look up my number to call. It would have been a real bummer to have lost it, as my iPad was in it. So kudos to southwest for being efficient, friendly, non-nickle and dimey, and caring about their passenger’s belongings!
