I like Tommy’s takeout simply because it is MY official corner store. It’s at the end of my street, so it gets bonus points for that. The owner is cool, he’s been there for all nine of my years living on this street. He’s very laid back and he calls me, «buddy». Come to think of it, I think he calls everyone, «buddy». Anyway, the prices are a lot higher than you would pay at the supermarket, but hell, it’s worth it when you don’t have to drive two miles to the supermarket. This is Parma — one of the most convenient neighborhoods you could live in. Everything you need is right around the corner, almost literally, including Tommy’s Take Out. The one thing I don’t like is, they don’t accept debit/credit cards unless you purchase at least $ 5.00 worth of stuff. So when you just need milk, you also need to buy other stuff to meet the minimum threshhold. I used to work for MasterCard — if you accept Visa or Mastercard, you MUST abide by their terms and conditions as a merchant. Enforcing a $ 5.00 minimum purchase on debit or credit card purchases is against both MasterCard and Visa terms and conditions. If I wanted to a be a dick and call MasterCard to report his violations, I could and he would be fined. But, I’m not going to be dick, at least, not today.

Évaluation du lieu : 4 Cleveland, OH
Totally cool, very nice neighborhood place. The reason it gets four stars, though? The biggest selection of pork rinds that I’ve seen in Cleveland.
