I came to west anchor to cover a small symbol tattoo that I had done years ago. I researched the top tattoo artists in northeast Ohio before deciding on mike helms from west anchor. I called mike and sent him a sketch of my idea. Within a week he had a well developed sketch of my tattoo back to me. I was very impressed by the sketch– which actually palled in comparison to his finished work. Unbelievable job. Outstanding attention to detail. And a great conversationalist. I will go to him for all future work.
In addition, the shop is clean, comfortable and welcoming. Cheers to the entire staff!

Went in to get pierced twice at once. They were really nice, Ryan did an excellent job, he really made me feel welcomed and in safe/clean hands; it’s been a week and no pain, no infection, perfect healing. A very happy customer, here.

Today I got a tattoo from Nathan and had a really good experience. He was professional and efficient, and he put me at ease, since it had been a long time since I’d been tattooed. My boyfriend and our friend also came and they were tattooed by Carl and were really happy with his work. We were walk-ins so we didn’t mind waiting and I thought it was really cool that they were having a food drive to benefit a hunger center.
The shop is clean, which is obviously important and it’s decorated in the usual style but with some nice finer art pieces. The only thing I didn’t really like is the open layout where each artist shares the space. I prefer privacy over people in the waiting room being able to watch. I’ll definitely go to Nathan again though.
