Had another local place fail to deliver twice to me (won’t bash them, their truck broke down) and had taken time off work to get mulch spread. Called around, best I could find was delivery in 3 days. Tried J’s and got a really good price and same day delivery. Not sure if they’re always able to do that, but it was crucial for me and I really appreciated it! On top of that, the mulch looks great. I’ll be calling them first next year.

Last spring I ordered 6 cu. yds. of shredded topsoil based on the ratings for this business. The «topsoil» I got is not topsoil. It feels like a sand and dirt blend, and appears to have little or no organic material. It spreads well, and with little to no rain in the early summer, I had pretty well covered my yard in it before I discovered its other qualities. Once wet and dried, it forms a hard crust. Try to grow something in that. This fall, with regular rain, it becomes a slippery mucky mess that sticks to anything that touches it. This product is not topsoil, and I highly advise against using this company for topsoil.

It’s hard to get excited about mulch.
But J’s Mulch has the customer service and expertise you need to get the job done. Super friendly staff and excellent prices are what keep me coming back to this local business. Most days, as soon as you enter the lot, someone is there to ask what you need, to tell you where to park and to start loading it before you even get your seatbelt off. Their prices are extremely competitive and the quality is great.
