In a world of big box stores with giant stores and small service, Merrilee’s is a welcome throwback to what a hardware store should be.
This place is packed with stuff and chances are they have what you need. If they don’t, then the staff is happy to help you figure out a different way to fix it, order the part, or even suggest a different store that may carry the item you desperately need.
Needless to say, the service is off the charts and it feels like the kind of place you want to go to talk through a problem and get what you need to fix it.
I will be back there many times I am sure, because something always needs fixing and this is the first place I would want to go to find the expertise and parts.
One word of advice, the store is densely packed with stuff. Rather than wander aimlessly (unless that’s your thing, like me) it is much quicker to just ask where to start looking until you get a good idea of where things are.
