Seriously the best sandwiches around! They aren’t flimsy like chain places. They make a real sub hero! Their chili is hearty and filling especially on cold days and what else can you say about a place that also makes their own sodas. Very large delivery area and friendly staffing. I need one closer to my home and not just my office!

So I previous review was great, still think great of the place. I just wanted to have the owner aware that when I came here for the lunch the male worker was very rude & unwelcoming. Also, if somebody is a regular you treat them like one !

The first time I ordered for delivery, I thought it was decent but the cole slaw and potato salad was very gelatinous and old, but the italian sandwich was good. So the next time, I decided to walk over and try the Chicken Parmigiana. After ordering, I saw the guy pull the chicken cutlet out of the fridge, threw it in the microwave, then put some canned sauce on. Was shocked cause I would’ve thought the chicken would’ve been fresher or at least even thrown in a fryer or something… It was really disappointing; especially for the price. You might as well just go to the dirty Blimpies right around the corner and get the same level of food quality and dining cleanliness. I guess that’s why I get for actually seeing how things are made when I typically order for delivery… sigh…

Subs might be great but I ordered a salad. Don’t order a salad. The Chef Salad is just shredded sandwich lettuce with slices of sandwich tomatoes and some rolled up sandwich meats. I guess that technically fits the definition of a salad but not what you expect to get.

When you are in the mood for good old subs for delivery… here is the place. Just had my first order. Respectful, knowledgeable person answered the phone… we got a delicious tuna sub with everything on whole wheat reminiscent of old times and a perfect chicken parm on toasted whole wheat bread. Carefully packaged and delivered timely. Writing this is making us order again as we speak…

I truly hate when good service comes with suspect food. It simply shouldn’t exist. Enough with the small talk, I’m not one for cold heroes, my thing is cheesesteaks. Having one from here makes me want to become a vegetarian, that’s how tasteless and unattractive their cheesesteak is. Following in the unfortunate tradition of Subway and Blimpie, they use a convection oven to prepare their steaks. I don’t know why I was expecting them to use an open grill top. Silly me and my high hopes… I asked for the disappointment, I know. Three minutes later and grayish semi-cooked strips of what’s supposed to be steak comes out on a hot plate. Then onions, peppers and cheese are added to the hot plate and back into the oven the steaks go for another minute or two. What comes next is a mess of gooey, rubbery, gray-colored gamey meat on a hero. Passing this off as a legit cheesesteak sandwich is embarrassing if not insulting. I’m stopping short of giving this spot one star because the service was great and the folks were friendly. And their condiments counter was lush with fresh fixings, ripe red tomatoes and all. Therefore had I ordered a cold hero, my impression of this place might’ve been different. Except, I don’t dig cold heroes.

You know a shop that sells sandwiches is bad when you’d rather eat a sandwich from subway. Unfortunately, this is the case with Sarge’s Subs. The chicken on my chicken parm sub was just a premade, frozen, out of the box filet. It wasn’t even warmed thoroughly and still cold in the center. The bread was stale. The marinara sauce and cheese were also gross. $ 6.75 for a small cold piece of chicken with cheese and sauce on stale bread with no toppings? Makes me miss the $ 5 Subway foot longs.

Ordered delivery for lunch today. They came on time, were very friendly and got the order right. Prices are fair. I had a cold sub with turkey, ham, Swiss, LTO, oil&vinegar. The cold cuts were really good. Bread was just okay. I’d order again to try the chili and maybe a panini. Def way better than subway, but not the best.

Just moved to the Area and I have been disappointed and many delivery places. This place has Great SUBS. They are big and fill you up. This is my new Sub shop to visit from now on. Thanks!

My son is a big fan of this place. He loves their Philly cheesesteak. The owner and the staff very friendly. And they have discountes for the students.

Found these guys because they are located within a half mile from us, the owner was working that day and lemme tell you they are so nice and friendly in here. They have an awesome sandwich called the G.I. Jane which is basically a vegetarian cheese sandwich, your suppose to pick two cheeses but the guys are really generous with giving you a sandwich full of cheeses. I would also suggest the tuna melt.(Atomic Submarine) My all time FAVORITE item is the Shock and Awe Chili, its to die for, just ask for extra crackers. They are also on grub hub and delivery is always extremely quick! I’m talking like under half an hour, if that. Just don’t get the oil and vinegar or your sandwich will show up way too soggy. Excellent local business.

The food can be hit or miss, depending on what you order. I had a cold sub, and liked that the meats and cheese were all sliced fresh. The bread was really nothing great, and maybe even a little disappointing. Toppings were generously applied, but the shredded lettuce was already browning. My husband had the chicken parm sandwich, and wasn’t impressed. The chicken is like those little frozen patties, not fresh made. He did enjoy the cheese though, and thought it was the best part of the sandwich. The ladies working were really nice and friendly, and seemed to genuinely enjoy their job and take pride in their work. The interior seemed comfortable and inviting, definitely a place I’d sit at and eat. Overall, I’d go back, but it’s definitely not my favorite place.

I was too far from a subway so i came here thinking it would be better anyways. To my dismay there was a ROACHINMYSUB. I am thoroughly disgusted & appalled that this could even happen. By the time i saw it i was well over 20 minutes away or else i would have gone back & thrown it in their face. Utterly DISGUSTING. Please stay away from this restaurant if you value your health & safety.

We ordered from Sarge’s last night via EAT24 for the first time and while the food was decent and sort of reminded me or real subs back in the Philly/DE area the value was seriously lacking. The entry level pricing is very inexpensive but upon further inspection you find out that that pricing is for a «mini» and that the regular costs about 60% more. We opted for the regular since we were planning for a dinner portion but when the order arrived(30 minutes late) the regular size was only about 6″ long with a modest amount of toppings. After finishing my «snack» I perished the menu one more time and saw that the giant size, which I would imagine is closer to a normal size sub, priced out at more than 40% higher than the regular. The neighborhood really was lacking a classic sub shop but based on this experience it’s unlikely that I’ll add Sarge’s in to my regular rotation.

Good little sub shack close to me. Good for large appetites … I split a steak sandwich with a friend and it ran me about $ 12 for the large. I really liked that the woman who prepped the sandwich chopped all the veggies in front of me. There could have been more meat, but it was definitely satisfying Very nice staff and a pretty decent parking lot next to it. I also liked the couch in the middle of the room, where presumably, locals can hang, I will go back for the tuna, which I got a taste of and it was good.

I stop here at least once a week for a sub or have them deliver, which is always there between 10 – 15 minutes. The place is very clean and my sandwich is always made fresh right in front of me and there’s plenty of fixings to put on your sandwich. My favorite is the USO Giant Club sub with everything on it. The workers behind the counter are very friendly also. The sub shop is done in a military motif and they support the Wounded Warrior Project, which is fine by me… always throw a buck in the WWP jar when I go… this place reminds me of those fantastic sub shops growing up!

I’ve been here several times and I have no real complaints. The owners are the sweetest and the salads and sandwiches always hit the spot. I think the prices are higher than say, Subway or Blimpie, but I also think the food tastes better. And we all know you get what you pay for.

Ordered delivery of two cheesesteak sandwiches and macaroni salad. Like other reviewers have said, there is nothing impressive about them, they are edible but considering we requested my boyfriend’s sandwich to not have oil and vinegar, and both sandwiches tasted exactly the same and equally bland my guess is they don’t use quality ingredients and everything is just meh. The macaroni salad was too sweet and I didn’t even finish it. Will not order again. Definitely not worth almost $ 9 per sandwich. Best part of the meal was the tiny bag of Lay’s potato chips.

It’s a sin that they serve these kind of subs/heros/hoagies. First off the bread is horrible. It’s kind of like the prepackaged ones you get at the supermarket. You HAVE to use high quality crusty bread for good sandwiches! 2ndly it’s way overpriced. Almost $ 12 for a foot long?!(although it is a big foot long). The sarge(Italian sandwich) tastes like you got cheap meat and made it at home. The cheesesteak? I don’t know how you can call that a cheesesteak. The meat is not even chopped up and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was steak ums(it very may well be). Subz up near by is much better and cheaper.
