Yummy 2

I’m not sure why this place has good reviews. I came in with my boyfriend and had high hopes — it always looks full and I’ve wanted to go for a while. I’ve never had such horrible service. A former server myself, I know when someone isn’t doing their job. I’m allergic to dairy and asked if I could have jam on my bagel instead of butter. The server corrected me «we have jelly» in a sarcastic tone. That’s fine — I just didn’t want butter. We had to walk up to the counter to get refills on our sodas after waiting ten minutes. The server spilled a glass of water next to my boyfriend’s seat and left the ice and water on the floor the entire time. His eggs were disgustingly undercooked. No one checked on us and the food took forever to come out. Never again. Perhaps we got off to a bad start — maybe the server thought I was a jam snob. Regardless, there’s no excuse for horrible service. 30 minutes and no offers for drink refills? No thank you.

Although I have been here 3x since the conversion to Yummy 2, i have not seen any negative occurrences listed in the 2 previous reviews.
Change is rarely easy especially when a new place replaces one people have enjoyed. I see Yummy’s as doing a great job in trying to not only retain but increase their customer base. The inside renovations are charming. Very comfortable, nicely spaced tables. The counter seating is also nicely spaced. They have vastly improved the uneven small parking lot with new asphalt and clearly marked spaces which has increased the number of spots. Today, the lot filled up fast and overflow traffic went to the backlot so clearly they are getting high numbers of customers.
Waitstaff? Well what new business hasn’t experienced growing pains? All 3x I’ve had fast, courteous, attentive service. And, they all help each other to ensure customer satisfaction. No one is ever standing around here doing nothing.
The food is very good and prepared the way you like it. The menu is big.

Nope. Not impressed. Had to ask for a placemat 3 times and still never got it. No coaster for tea/​coffee. Food was served piecemeal. Portions were average and the food was ok. Prices were fair but I doubt that we will be visiting again.
