Kohl’s

It’s Kohls a department store. Always have good sales. Wife saves up with kohls cash and goes crazy.

I usually love kohls but this one sucks! Went in here looking for a new years dress. They hardly had anything! I found 1 rack of juniors dresses! Luckily I found one in the sale rack and shoes, so the whole trip wasn’t a bust!

Standard Kohl’s, but if there’s a shoe department, I couldn’t find it, and if there was a clerk available to help me find things, I couldn’t find him or her. This particular location seems to have more clothes and fewer household items, particularly electrics, than other Kohl’s I’ve visited, although it had a somewhat beefier selection of kitchen stuff (mostly in the «As Seen on TV» type of category — Food Network, Bobby Flay line, etc.)
The thing I resent about Kohl’s as a brand is you HAVE to get their discount coupons in order for the pricing to make sense. I once did a direct comparison of five identical items that both Target and Kohl’s carried, and the Target prices were the same, within a penny or two, as Kohl’s prices — with the coupons. The whole store is premised on a bait and switch.
That said, we frequented Kohl’s in the past because they did have better goods in some areas than the discount department stores and the shopping is lower key than a traditional large department store a la Macy’s. But this location doesn’t have the same spread of goods we are accustomed to, and one thing you want from a name-​brand chain store is consistency. So, fail to Kohl’s on this one.
One final nit, but it’s a serious one as far as I’m concerned: the music was pumped up WAY too loud. I probably wouldn’t complain if it was music I liked, of course, but when one is shopping, the music is supposed to relax you, not make you wish you could finish your business and get the heck outta there before you go deaf. (And if I go deaf, I want to go deaf to something more interesting.)
I feel like a hatah this week, giving a string of low ratings to places, but this section of Clifton Park seems to be retail hell.

So I really only shop at Kohls on Black friday, and maybe once or twice during the year. It always has the best of the best sales on black friday, and usually it sends flyers offering same amazing deals during the year. It’s got an excellent selection of just about everything you’d need, clothing, bedding, housewares, shoes, jewelry, toys. The younger clothing can be some what disorganized at times, but the rest of the store is usually very put together and well organized and labeled.
Every time I’ve been here i’ve also received quick and easy customer service, they are usually adequately staffed and theres not usually a unnecessary wait in line. You also get more money for each dollar you spend you get cash to use two weeks later, if you can remember. which is a great deal.
