In the interest of full disclosure, I was part of a group of individuals invited to sample the roll out of the Lobster Roll at local McDonald’s locations. The staff and officials who greeted us were warm and friendly as would be expected at this type of an event. But what would a Lobster Roll be like at McDonald’s? First, just a little bit of background. Lobster had previously been on the menu at Maine locations but then it was removed for a period of about 10 years. A year ago it was brought back to the Maine stores and also a limited number of locations along coastal cities in Massachusetts and Connecticut. Its success last year has prompted its expansion into the upstate NY franchises. All the lobster comes from the North Atlantic region. It’s obviously a seasonal product, and if sales are successful this year it will be brought back next year at about this same time of year. The lobster is shelled somewhere before being shipped frozen to participating stores. Once in your local McDonald’s it is thawed in the walk-in refrigerator for 36 hours. Each day a limited amount of the lobster is cooked and prepared for sale by separating some of the claws from the rest of the lobster which is then mixed with some mayonnaise. When a day’s worth of prepared lobster meat is sold out, that’s it until the next day. The chopped up lobster is served on a bed of lettuce in a toasted«home style» oblong roll that has what looks like a bit of corn meal on top. A whole claw is placed on top resulting in approximately one-quarter pound of lobster. The price… $ 8.99. You could choose to not have the roll and have the meal served like a salad.(You can even order just the roll if you like it that much.) There are 290 calories in the basic Lobster Roll and officials promote it as being«heart healthy.» I enjoyed my Lobster Roll, it is served cold. The meat had a good consistency, it seemed cooked properly, and it had a fresh lobster flavor. I also enjoyed the toasted roll. For my preferences, I might like just a little bit more mayonnaise and some more lobster in proportion to the lettuce and roll. But for $ 8.99 it is a good value when I compare it to elsewhere that I’ve paid $ 18 to get less than a half pound of lobster meat.

This is one of the worst McDonalds I have been to. The counter staff, if there is any ignore you it seems. Their communication skills are poor and most times are not understandable. PLEASESPEAKUPANDINENGLISH! And the wait times on ordinary orders are on the order of 10 — 15 minutes long. Even though they have the OPEN24 signs up, the doors were locked at 4:30AM. In addition their price structure is higher than surrounding McDonald’s.STAYAWAY!

Stopped at the drive-thru tonight, behind exactly 1 car. After placing the order, we pulled forward and waited for the car in front of us to get their food. It seemed to take a while, but we shrugged it off. When we finally reached the window, we sat for at least another 5 minutes… and no one acknowledged us. They never took our money, they never told us there was a delay, they literally left us there. In this time we saw 1 – 2 customers inside the place being waited on, but honestly the entire place was dead. There is absolutely no reason for it to take so long just to pay, let alone get our food. Start to finish, we were in the drive-thru(again, behind only 1 car) for over 15 minutes when we gave up and drove away because we still hadn’t gotten so much as a look from an employee. If I wanted to spend that much time waiting for a burger, I’d have gone to a real restaurant.

I’m done with this place. after a 20 minute wait through the drive through got our food home(less then a 5 minute drive) and it was cold — I didn’t have half my order and the tea container was not secured so when I picked it up the lid came off and sticky sweet tea went all over the table and the floor. This was not a time saver at all today. No appoligies for the lateness of the food or offering to pake it up either

Are you noticing a pattern with the six previous reviews? They’re not trolling like you see on Amazon sometimes. This McDonalds store really is that bad. The service is absolutely atrocious. If the front line employees aren’t too busy casually chatting with one another, you might get your order taken in a reasonable amount of time. Often this store does not open a second register to compensate for when there is a large number of customers waiting. The wait times for food are absolutely horrendous. On my most recent visit I timed it with my phone, and it took 16 minutes 49 seconds just to get three sandwiches that weren’t specially ordered. The crew is generally unfriendly, which is a reflection of their equally unfriendly and lazy managers. No one wears the corporate-required name tags which are a part of the official uniform. This overall lack of enthusiasm for their jobs shows in the repeatedly dirty floors and bathrooms as well as the dispensers which don’t get restocked quickly enough. This review might seem harsh for a fast food restaurant, but bear in mind the 1-star rating is after I already lowered my expectations. I would never compare a McDonalds to a Ruth’s Chris. Despite that, when compared to the good fast food locations in Clifton Park such as Burger King or Taco Bell, this McDonalds still warrants such a terrible score.

The only thing more annoying than getting your order wrong and forgetting stuff you asked for is realizing this happened because the stupid employees were too busy chit chatting to pay attention. More annoying still is that I didn’t check my order before leaving, when I could’ve easily done something about it, as well as give them a little piece of my mind.

I ordered two cups of coffee and paid for it, after 10 minutes of waiting I still had no coffee. I asked person behind counter where my coffee was, he got in a huff and told me he get to me in a minute. All they had to do is put coffee in a cup, it isn’t rocket science. And he thinks he worth $ 15.00 hour.

If you’d like a bizarre, not-fast-at-all McDonald’s experience, this is it. You will wait a minimum of 20 minutes for your food, inside or outside in the pick-up line. Corporate really needs to send in an efficiency expert. The service is so slow it’s sort of unbelievable. Just go to a nice, sit-down restaurant if you have that kind of time.

They’re so bad it actually hurts, 90% of the time your order gets messed up worse than somebody fighting a boxer. I used to work at one and it isn’t that hard but this one apparently thinks it’s rocket science. Oh my life just avoid this place Ronald McDonald himself would come in here and be sad.

Fast Food in this place ISNOT and Service… it’s like watching paint dry and the attitude of the staff… my 2 yrs old acts better than them. Poor management reflects in the service and attitude of the staff in this place. What a shame… I can’t even bring myself to give this place 1 star. I have to so that I can post my comments. FYI, DONOT use the drive thru in the mornings… any other alternatives in the vicinity is WAYWAYBETTER(300% more better) unless you want your morning to start miserably.
