I have been traveling for business for over 20 years. My schedule is very inconsistent and it’s very hard on the body. 4 years ago, I decided to try Martial Arts and walked into Pai’s in Clifton Park. I started taking class once a week to see if it would be interesting. I found the workout to be as productive as any routine in the gym but found the real difference to be in the mental engagement. It is much more satisfying then working out with treadmills and machines that don’t stimulate my mind on any level, in fact they do quite the opposite, they shut me off. I was also quite surprised at the number of adults around my age who seek the same experience and as a result, I have developed as large a circle of friends as any point in my life. I think the school is very committed to the community too, there is always fund raising and volunteer work to engage in and I have watched many of the kids who go through the leadership program grow into fine adults. There is a very refreshing message of respect, discipline and appreciation being conveyed to all that attend. It’s been a great investment of time and money and I plan to continue.
