I really enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. My boyfriend and I couldnt decide where to eat so we googled places near us and Ravenswood came up, so we gave it a try. We ordered the nachos and the serving was so large we had to box up half of our meals! It was all delicious and each time we have gone back we’ve been impressed. We’ve found it’s better to go before 5 or after 8 otherwise it is usually packed! Proof that the food and service i great. Cant wait to go back!

I really liked this place. I went here and tried a bunch of different items and they were all really good. We started with the nachos and they were huge. We also tried the wings and then I had the special which was coconut shrimp salad. For what you pay the portion size is really good. We also had a few beverages and the price didn’t end up to be that bad for everything we tired. I would definitely come back!

Something is definitely wrong with the water/ice. Both my husbands soda and my lemonade tasted funny. Fried mushrooms were ok but I don’t think they were fresh mushrooms. Fish(with fish and chips) didn’t seem like fish you would normally use for that dish. Flavor was very bland. Fries were good. My daughters Mac and cheese was definitely Kraft Mac & Cheese. I was expecting a little more for the amount we paid. Don’t see any reason to return here.

HORRIBLE! Went here for dinner one night and everything from the drinks to the food were bad. I ordered a Diet Coke and others in my party ordered water and they all had an awful sulfur taste this restaurant needs to invest in a water softener or something to make their drinks taste better. On top of that they charge almost $ 3 for a soda which I find very expensive for the area especially when it doesn’t even taste good with the water they are using. No wonder they don’t put the price of drinks on the menu. As me and my family looked over the menu we noticed that all they basically serve is sandwiches. The only entrees were Mac and cheese, a steak, or fish and chips. I found this to be odd to not have a variety of dishes for you customers. I ordered a buffalo chicken quesadilla for my meal and a cup of clam chowder for an appetizer. The soup tasted like water mixed with milk with a couple potatoes and clams it was absolutely flavorless. The quesadilla was ok nothing special and had hardly any chicken in it even though it was and up charge from a regular cheese quesadilla. Everyone in my family agreed the food was pretty bad and that this place has gone downhill. I imagine if they keep serving food with this bad quality they will be closed within the year

Thought it would great, they didn’t know the menu, brought out the wrong salad and had a problem fixing the mistake, food was always good but not this time, just plain old not good and to boot service was sub par because they were bust

After a long day at our yard sale, my wife and I went to Ravensbrook for dinner. I read that the place was under new ownership and wanted to try it out. Saturday night and the place was packed. The room we were in was noisy but tolerable. I agree with other patrons that the water is horrible. Clifton Park water isn’t that good and most places have to soften the water. We ordered seltzer. My wife had the shrimp salad and I ordered a classic favorite I have not eaten in years, the open face turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes. Both our dishes were delicious. The service was good and the place reminded me of a restaurant where locals go often. We will be back.

Looks better than the original. The food isn’t as good as the original. Large amounts of food. French dip with no flavor, mediocre wings, over dressed salad. It’s been many years since we have been there, and many more before we will go back.

So tonight we were starving and at a loss for where to eat, we drove past Ravenswood and decided to stop in. First, and most importantly, as soon as we walked in all I could smell was overwhelming mildew and so musty. I wouldn’t have stayed but I was starving, like legit starving, and it didn’t seem to bother my boyfriend(although he did agree that he noticed it when we first walked in) so I thought maybe I was overreacting, but it was literally all I could smell, so awful. Then we ordered water, and I swear it was the worst tasting water ever. I know, weirdest thing ever to complain about, and yes I thought I might be being over dramatic again because my boyfriend said he didn’t notice anything, but I couldn’t even drink it, then I saw on Unilocal someone else had commented the same thing! So it was at least not just me! The service was mediocre, very slow, it took a long time to order and even longer for her to circle back to us. However the food came out very quickly, and the server was friendly. The food was ok. We had fried mushrooms for an appetizer which were good and they gave a hefty portion. I had their salmon bisque soup which was the special, it was extremely bland, absolutely no flavor, even my boyfriend agreed on this one. Then I had a ruben with fries and my boyfriend had a fish fry with fries. Both were decent. But also, in general, nothing on the menu sounded that great, and they don’t really have entrées, they basically only have sandwiches. All in all this place is not worth a trip back, just the mildew stench alone should be enough to send you right out the door as soon as you walk in.

ravenswood is such a wonderful establishment! the staff are all great, they are all kind and courteous! the food is great and the atmosphere is warming and inviting. the flaws? the sign off of route 146 is low, so it is hard to find until you are right up on it. the stupid autobody shop directly in front of the sign pisses me off to all high hell. instead of seeing the ravenswood sign all i see is some stupid frigin tow truck as well as 75 other shit vehicles with there shit looks on shit wheels and it is a god damn eye sore. i feel bad that ravenswood has to have such a hideous autobody shop right in their way! frig off! even though they are all probably great people who do a wonderful job with vehicles. i am wif dat gangsta shiz.

Fairly mediocre. I’ve really wanted to like Ravenswood, as their fries and wings are exceptional and always pull me back. However, I’ve never had good service there; I always find myself with long wait times and rare visits by the waitstaff. The entrees are decent at best, with nothing notable about them. On an odd note, their tap water is putrid. I’ve never complained about a restaurant’s water, and drink nothing but tap myself, but theirs is the worst I’ve ever experienced.

Great relaxing place. Good decent food. They have awesome mussels but they never seem to have them. Luckily all of the other food is awesome. Also, great dirty martinis.

Not bad. Last night was my initial visit and the first thing that I noticed was how big it is. Plenty of seating… lots of tables, booths… and TVs. If you’re into sports, this is a good place to go to watch your favorite team(s). On Sundays they have a special menu with various bar foods to choose from. The regular menu is quite extensive. Lots of choices and mostly typical bar fare. The server, Leslie, was super friendly and totally on top of beverage refills(which was important with this particularly thirsty crew). Leslie gets 5 stars. We ordered a few appetizers — a couple of french onion soups and the pretzels with the mustard dip(instead of the bacon beer cheese). Everything was served hot — good reviews on the soups and the pretzels were tasty. Unfortunately, the dipping sauce was the one that we didn’t order, so one of the other folks just grabbed us a bottle of yellow mustard. The pretzels also had a glaze of grease(assuming butter) on the outside… I prefer no butter/oil on my simple carbohydrates(especially if I’m going to dip them into something or other). I stuck to iced tea… no adult bevvie for me… and it didn’t really have any flavor. That said, I was thirsty, so I drank quite a bit of it… thinking that at some point it would taste like tea. No such luck. My main dish was the salmon«burger» — it was a filet of salmon on a whole wheat bun with pesto sauce(and bacon — which I asked to be left off)…with a side of sweet potato fries. The salmon was excellent and the sweet potato fries were really good(plus it was a VERY generous portion). The burger got mediocre reviews — as did the regular french fries. I tried them and they had an odd consistency… a little chewy. But I’m a fan of the potato in almost every form… so unless they were awful… don’t ask me.(I didn’t think they were awful… but the others at the table didn’t like ‘em). Wings got stellar reviews and the chicken philly cheese steak sandwich was enjoyed as well. I saw some other dishes float by — the calamari looked really good and the pretzels are definitely a popular item. The only other issue was that the kitchen wasn’t moving very quickly — it took a very long time to get the appetizers and then the wait for the main courses was quite long as well. Good news was that we weren’t in a rush and Leslie brought popcorn as a snack at the beginning. Pretty sure I’ll be back at some point — very convenient… just down the road from the Clifton Park ice rink with plenty of parking.

We go often as a family. The atmosphere is a family pub. I recommend the 24 karat burger or the Reuben. There sweet potato fries are real good too. Be sure to grab a bowl of popcorn for while you wait. It is definitely a place you can bring the kids. Just to warn you they get busy Friday nights.

They have very consistently had the best wings around for years, and for a good price too. The new deck is very nice, and this is the perfect place for large groups. They also offer catering options and the quality and value is terrific.

Very good tavern food… friendly service, wings are always great, I also enjoy their chicken sandwiches but my favorite is their super soft Bavarian pretzels! Yum! There is also quick draw and they have live music.

This place is not very good. I thought they would make a great burger but it was not at all flavorful and a bit overcooked for med-rare. The menu is a basic pub one and the place is clean and comfortable. The service is good as well. I tried some soup, some salad, some appetizers and all were bland and uninspired. I really want to like it since it is close to me and is a nice hangout, but aside from the beer selection the food did not do it for me. The first time I came for beer and wings and also was not thrilled. Just not good wings. They were not bad, and the sauce was fine but we are surrounded by places that do them very well. To be upstate and not do great wings is a bad sign.

Standard pub fare. I got the Sriracha burger which is jalapeños, bacon, sriracha, sautéed onions and pepper jack cheese. It was decent; nice and spicy. Next time I would like to try the wings because they smelled great and seemed very popular.

The rumors that Ravenswood has been going downhill since new management/ownership took over seem to be true, and I am saddened to write this update. First the Wings. Ravenswood was the first place I have ever had Buffalo wings back in the mid eighties. They were always crispy, juicy, and tender, dripping with hot sauce. They were a classic pub standard of the area. At one point, Ravenswood could proudly boast that they served the best, most authentic Buffalo wings in the region. This is definitely no longer the case. On our last visit, the wings suffered the greatest.: Soggy and chewy — these aren’t the classic Buffalo experience that I used to experience on a regular basis. I doubt they were even tossed in Buffalo sauce, just coated with a light smattering of forgettable sauce once out of the fryer. The next disappointment was their St. Patrick Day Corned Beef and Cabbage special. When asked if this was brisket, the indifferent server responded that it was a thick cut, marbled corned beef. This couldn’t have been further from the truth. What was served was your standard deli sliced corned beef, warmed up on the fryer. It was almost inedible. Last gripe: What happened to the classic menu items like«The Raven» or the house-smoked turkey? They too are sadly gone. Except for the always thoroughly disgusting tasting tap water(that hasn’t changed at all), this is NOT the classic Ravenswood I grew up with. I am not sure I will be coming back anytime soon.

Summary– Sadly the takeover by the Beale has made the Wood worse from our last couple visits. I feel like the ingredient quality has maybe changed some, and I am not sure the turkey is being made in house anymore? I thought the majority of the original staff/kitchen stayed on as well, but the service doesn’t seem to be a good/quick as it used to be.
