I’ve gotten food here quite a few times and it’s generally only been pizza and/or wings. The wings are always good. I’ve had a few varieties and I’ve never had a complaint. I’ve had a few hot subs and they’ve always been good. When it comes to pizza, I generally prefer Siciliano and that is inconsistent. When it’s good, it’s the best in the area. When it’s not, it’s only okay. Not always a wide variety of pizza available as a walk-in, so I would definitely recommend ordering.

I’ve ordered from here a few times thinking maybe it was just an off night. I was way wrong. Their sub rolls are so hard you have trouble biting them. Depending on the night you call for delivery it’s always a crap shoot if you’ll be able to get it. I’ve even had the owner tell me they weren’t delivering that night because«no one wants to work anymore». Thanks but no thanks. Too many other places around to have to waste my money on sub standard service and matching food.

Dropped my review to one star. Called to place an order. Gave my address and the girl on phone was kind of condescending when I told her the name if the apartments I live in. When it came to getting my total, we got disconnected. I am not saying she hung up, but phone call ended. When I called back to pay and complain about the way i was talked to, the owner said that she us his niece. And that he doesn’t believe she would talk like that. Hmmm… way to call your customer a liar. Stay away from this place!!! If you place a review on Facebook about them Matt Grayson will just be hostile and insult you.

I only write reviews when I like the product/food. This time too, we have a winner. 3 times out of 3 — great sauce cheese combination pizza. I am all about classic, this is classic NY pizza. Just regular cheese, there is beauty in keeping it simple. Go for it!

Nothing special. Pizza is good, nothing to rave over. Prices are way too high for the quality of food, service. Menu has nothing special on it. There used to be one lady there who was really cheerful, and nice, but everyone else seems very uninterested to be there.

BOOO!!! I just recently went to Tufaro’s & was denied using the bathroom. We were told to go to the CVS and use their facilities. We came back & ordered, the pizza was ok at best(frozen pizza is better) but the Greek salad was better. We also noticed the self-gloating police articles & pictures. Tufaro’s should take their name off the NYS thruway rest stop sign if they won’t allow patrons to use the bathroom to wash up & relieve themselves after a long ride. DON’T STOP. This is not anything close to NYC pizza!!!

I really WANT to like Tufano’s because it’s very convenient to my home, but every time I try, it misses the mark. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad, but the crust is too thick for a proper NY-style pizza. Tried their hot subs a couple times thinking that it might be a good alternative to mediocre pizza, but they disappointed as well. Seemed like the sub rolls were baked from pizza dough, which makes for a very filling bread. I’ll take a little more time to drive up to exit 9.

Well, I finally tried Tufano’s last weekend and I just had to update my review… So, we ordered a large half pepperoni half extra cheese and poppers. The pizza is ok. I really wish I could say better but I honesty can’t. It tasted fine but I really felt like I was eating something from one of the popular chains rather than a pizza from a «family owned» shop or any sort of «authentic ny style» pizza. The garlic butter crust was a nice touch but it just reminded me further of one of those cookie cutter pizza stores nearby. I gave it a shot but the flavor and authenticity that you find at other nearby pizza shops is just not there at Tufano’s. The poppers were surprisingly good actually, so maybe we’ll go back when we have a hankering for some good appetizers. Hey, I’m just glad that I actually got my pizza this time — and it was a decent delivery time on a Friday night too. So if you’re ok with speedy, yummy appetizers but mediocre and slightly bland pizza, definitely consider Tufano’s.

My definition of New York Style pizza is large slices of very thin pizza. While that is not my pizza of choice, there are times when I want a pizza at home and don’t want to travel far to get it. Tufano’s is close to home, but makes the NY style — so that explains why I’ve only been there twice since they opened. Our most recent purchase was an 18 inch round M.B.R.($ 18.99) — meatball, ricotta, sauce & mozzarella. It was just ok. You know how you sometimes have some slices left over and you put them in the fridge for the next day? And the next day you take a slice right from the fridge and don’t even bother to heat it up and still enjoy it? Well, Tufano’s didn’t pass that test. Even tried heating up a slice of the day-old pizza… nope, still didn’t pass that test either. I’m sure some folks love this style pizza, but it’s just not for me. Really sorry! ;-(

I’ve tried Tufano’s a few times since it has opened, and I’ve been very happy with my pizza each time. The crust is firm, the sauce is not overpowering, and the cheese is very good. Their wings are pretty good, too – a decent size and with the right amount of sauce. The prices at Tufano’s are higher than I’m used to paying for, but the quality goes a long way to justifying the price. Tufano’s is on my short list f favorite pizza joints, and I’d recommend it if you haven’t tried it yet.

Tufano’s is a family owned and operated pizza shop located in Plaza 8, just off the Northway(I-87) at Exit 8. Tufano’s was originally established in 1999 in So Cal and the owners are from the NYC area. Tufano’s serves up authentic NY style pizza by the slice or pie(14″-16″-18″-12 cut tray). Specialty crusts including garlic butter, crushed red pepper, poppy seed and sesame are offered. Besides pizza, they also serve calzones(sauce in inside-feeds 2 people), 10″ hot & cold subs, salads, jumbo wings, and appetizers. The prices are reasonable, cheese pizzas are $ 10.50-$ 12.95 and specialty pizzas(with choice of specialty crust) are $ 16.99-$ 18.99. The good sized pizza slices are priced $ 2.00-$ 2.50. The place is order at the counter with a few tables for eating in. While driving along the Northway, I’ve gotten off at Exit 8 and stopped in at Tufano’s for some good pizza slices for lunch and dinner. The service is quick and friendly. The crust is thin with a soft and chewy texture and topped with the right amount of sauce and cheese, browned on top. I especially enjoy the CP White pizza topped with broccoli, ricotta, tomato, and fresh garlic and the M.B.R. pizza topped with meatballs, ricotta, mozzarella, and sauce. FREE«Quick As Possible» DELIVERY within 4 mile radius begins at 4PM. No checks.

Tufano’s recently opened in the spot where Mama Rosa’s used to be, right off Exit 8. Mama Rosa’s was a great little place. The pizza wasn’t fantastic, but they made some great wraps. I don’t know exactly when they went out of business but it must have been within the last couple months. In Mama Rosa’s place, Bob and Irene Tufano opened their pizzeria. Tufano’s is a family-run pizzeria, originally from southern California. Apparently, Mr. Tufano is a former police officer. I like them already. I’ve been to Tufano’s a few times since I first found it(while expecting to see Mama Rosa’s). I was not disappointed. The pizza is good. They offer free delivery within 4 miles of the restaurant, starting at 4:00PM. Unfortunately I’m outside of that range, but the location has recently been pretty convenient for me because I find myself in Albany a lot after work. I just take the Northway home, get off at exit 8 and I can grab a few slices if I’m hungry. The prices are very reasonable. $ 10.50 for a 14″ pie, $ 12.95 for an 18″. In addition to pizza, they offer your standard appetizers, calzones, and subs. Their specialty pizzas are worth checking out as well. The food’s always fresh and to date, I haven’t had a bad experience with them. I’d certainly recommend Tufano’s for anyone in the area.
