Number one advice is do not order delivery. I live about 3 minutes away & delivery takes almost 30 – 40 minutes. I always order pick up & my main order is a cheese calzone. It’s just so cheesy & the sauce always taste fresh. Pizza is better other places. Pastas are tasty & plentiful. I haven’t tried much else but this is my local go to spot for calzones.

Love this place! Close to home so the family and I stop in when I want to take the night off from cooking. My kids faves are the fettuccine alfredo, chicken parm, chicken fingers and their delicious fries! The food is made to order so there is a bit of a wait but it’s worth it for hot and fresh food. My husband loves their sausage and peppers parm. Their pizza is delicious but is quite pricey and they never run specials that I know of.

I got the grilled chicken caesar salad for my mom and the penne vodka sauce for my sister and a pizza pie with garlic knots for me and my father and other sister. They all liked their food but that pizza was really good. The sauce/bread combo was on spot and the cheese was just right. Definitely going to come back to this place

Very bad and barely edible. The pizza was salty and very bland… think twice before ordering from this place.

My husband eats here often. For us is located just blocks away from where we live. Take out is usually a roasted red pepper sandwich with mozzarella and balsamic vinegar. Friendly employees and they make great sandwiches. Recommend.

Great pizza. Great food. Tomato mozzarella onion and basil salad is so good. Order the fries with cheese and gravy. Really good. Sautéed spinach is so good. Cavatelli and broccoli is good!

Cashier, young girl, very unfriendly and seems like she has an attitude problem. Everytime i walk in i say hi she never responds. Some type of hate going on. Please talk to her. Good pizza tho. CRAPPYSERVICE!

good pizza. Great salads. Really quick and great service. Everything here is really fresh and delicious. The sauce is def good and home made. Being a Guido i know sauce. ha… only reason for not giving them a 5 stars is that we ordered delivery and they forgot napkins and a fork which was annoying with a grilled chicken salad. I’ll order again soon if they come through def a 5 star place.

Really enjoyed a recent order from here! I enjoyed a steak wrap which arrived still hot. My friend had a chicken roll which she said was a huge portion for the money and tasted great!

i order from la piazza almost every other weekend for the past 2 years and i have to say this is one of best places for pizzas i have ever eaten at! they offer whole wheat pizza pies which are always well cooked and taste perfect along with there buffalo wings that are perfectly crisped along with their blue cheese and hot sauce. now for there normal pizza pies they always come well hot and very good with the spread of cheese they put on the pie along with there tomato sauce, there topping as wll have a very good range of options and never have they came cold before the only issue i had with them once was one when of there delivery driver went pass my house into Patterson and my food had arrived cold but they offered me a 15% discount on my next order which i believed was a very good compensation for the long wait and the mistake the driver made!

I have eaten at La Piazza many times and have also gotten take out. It finally occurred to me this last visit to write a review. Don’t let the small size of the place fool you. They have a huge menu and the food is great! Everything from the pizza to the eggplant, the chicken francese, the sandwiches and the broccoli rabe and sausage; it’s all delicious. Their salad with grilled chicken is huge; enough for 2 people. The restaurant itself is small and VERY casual when dining in. I think a large part of their business is take-out and delivery. Our family had a garage sale last weekend and they delivered. Our wraps and salads were excellent and delivery was faster than expected. This is my «fast-food» place when visiting Clifton.

Food was good, portions were super small, and service was bad. Our waiter was nice, but slow however the real issue with with the rude and foolish management. The ladfy who seemed like the owner has no business running a restaurant. We asked to sit in the sun, where there were 10 of 10 empty tables. She told me she had reservations and put us in the shade… 2 hours later when we left, it was empty. She was rude about it to top it off. I wouldnt recommend this place.

Order a freshly made cheese pie, you won’t regret it! Top notch ingredients make for the best NY style pizza around.

I ordered 2 whole wheat wraps. They were made to specifications. I was glad to see that it included a side salad. I was upset they wouldn’t deliver to Lodi, even if I made it worth their while $$$. Looking forward to trying their whole wheat pizza pie, too bad they don’t serve just single slices of it.

Great gourmet pizza and great expanded menu(since i’m a student at montclair i pass it on my way home all the time) and its has just improved. not that it really needed it! I definitely suggest trying it out. & to that previous review by Victoria N… i think you are referring to a different pizzeria because this isn’t located in nutley. its located in Clifton.

My husband, daughter and I stopped in La Piazza tonight for a quick slice before her dancing class. We were looking for quick service and a decent slice of pizza. Considering we live in Nutley — surrounded by many fabulous pizza joints — this is a hard line to live up to, and I will admit — La Piazza didn’t fail miserably. We ordered a large plain pie which took about 20 minutes to cook and be delivered to our table. It was piping hot, burned the roofs of our mouths and dripped with oil. Maybe a little too much. The sauce to cheese ratio was just slightly off. I found the sauce to be a little too overpowering and much prefer the cheese to be the highlight of my slice. Crust was not crunchy enough and overall, the slice was a little too doughy. Not the worst slice I’ve ever had — but certainly not the best. Service was fine. Quick, friendly and efficient. Steady stream of people coming in for takeout, although we didn’t hear the phone ring once. Overall — ideal meal for grabbing something quick and on the run, but not a pizza establishment that I would visit intentionally. If I could give La Piazza 2.5 stars, I would. Definitely not a three — not a two — but somewhere in between.

I came here for dinner with my gf because I was sick and wanted pasta to cure me. We parked across the street near the apartments and walked over. We enter and I noticed it pretty slow for a Sunday. It was around 5:30 so dinner with Jerrys. Our waiter/hoster walks in a minute after his chit chat/smoke break. We get seated with menus and he gives us time to look things over. OMG!!! 10 minutes later he takes our order. 15 minutes after our order, bread comes outs. Finally, 25 minutes our entrees comes out. An eternity later, he brings us the check. My gf had the off menu fettuccine alfredo with shrimp. and I had the chicken with eggplant, bacon/ham, mozz with rigatoni. The free bread and Italian salsa was really good too. The food was really good but not pleasing because of the untimeliness. The biggest mistake coming here was that I was sick and really grumpy. There is no reason for a restaurant to have really slow service when it is not busy either. It’s like having your food delivered 40 minutes after you ordered when you live across the street. If your too lazy to walk across the street or sick do not come here. Be prepared to wait and become a Jerry.

Fantastic. The best pizza in North Jersey. Hands down, it’s in the sauce. That’s unfair. It’s the dough, too! This place just gets everything right, even the cheese and oil ratio, something a lot of other places look over. La Piazza are experts at their craft. Their sauce is perfect. Sweet, but not too sweet. The dough is thin and just the right consistency. Soft, mild crunch, right where it should be! The cheese? Fo-ge-abot-it! Their chicken wraps are also excellent, as are many of their other dishes. Plus I love that they have Stewart’s Root Beer, a rarity in most pizza places around here. Of course, as I said, the main attraction is their pizza. The slices are nice and large, and all the ingredients are fresh and outstandingly prepared. This is classic NJ pizza to the core, and without a doubt better than anything else you’ll find around here, including in Manhattan! The greatness isn’t limited to their regular slices, either. Make sure to try the white slices, buffalo chicken, and even the bruschetta style pies as well. They are all excellent.

This place is close to work for me and its really good. The buffalo chicken pizza and the chicken parm pizza have some really good chicken strips. I don’t know where they get the chicken from or if they make it themselves but it has the right amount of crunch and taste. I’ve also had the white pizza(or was it a 4 cheese?) and that was really good too.
