Pet Valu

My favorite place to shop, especially with my pup in tow! The staff clearly love animals and shower her with attention and treats whenever we go there. They are knowledgeable and share experiences with various foods they have tried with their own pets. They always offer to help me carry heavy bags to my car. I buy my cat food here as well.

The customer service at this particular Pet Valu is top notch. The employees are always so attentive and knowledgable. Pet Valu typically has better products than other pet stores, and a greater diversity as well. I really trust this store and is my go-​to for toys and treats.

Love this store. They employees are always very helpful and knowledgeable. their selection is pretty good as well. Especially if you are looking for higher quality food for your pet.

I have been coming here to get things for my puppy, the staff has been really helpful and friendly ! Since it’s my first puppy, I didn’t know what to get or any knowledge of type chew or food or type of harness … Etc. the staff has being patiently answer any question I had ! I took my pup there one time he was not behaving well and the staff was really nice about it (my pup actually had accident in the store)
Some ppl told me they are more expensive but after looking into, they actually are not! some of the stuff are about the same as amazon or big name store. Even the big store like petsmart does have more sales but I like getting chew things like smoke bones and ballistic they are more fresh and better ones.

The people here are really nice! I went in for the first time just to browse and ended up walking away with toys, winter jackets and sweaters for our bichon and yorkie. I got the squirrels in a tree toy and the price was almost the same as Amazon. They have a good selection of food, clothes, toys, etc for different kinds of animals.

Ask for James, he is amazing with tons of knowledge to what’s good for your pet .
Customer service is amazing in this place

Okay so I used to use this pet store for everything. Pet food… cat litter. toys, etc. BUT recently Innova pet foods issued a voluntary recall on their dry food. Only some food was effected, depending on the lot numbers. So I brought my bag back to Pet Valu (keep in mind I had been using this bag for a long time. it was maybe ½ full), to see if its lot number was included in the recall and if it was included to swap it out for a bag of something else. or get store credit. etc. I think it was April 4^th and maybe the clerk was having a bad day. So I brought it in and the not at all friendly guy at the counter who obviously would have rather been somewhere else said unless I had a receipt specifically stating that I purchased it at that store, he couldn’t help me. Like, he wouldn’t even check the lot numbers. And who the heck keeps a receipt for a bag of cat food they already opened and used?
So I actually went to a pet store that happens to be down the street from where I work (Pet Supplies Plus) in Centreville and they took the bag, even though I didn’t buy it from them! They gave me store credit and were super friendly. They carry a lot of great pet foods so I’ve officially switched to Pet Supplies Plus.

i enjoy coming to this store and checking out the pet treats and stuff. my cat enjoys the «meowww» brand catnips. decent prices on their merchandise.

When Blockbusters closed, I was pretty upset but when Pet Valu moved in… I was ecstatic!
Price: comparable to the big chains
Selection: tons of toys, treats, accessories, and food. They have my brand of food (Wellness — white fish) so that is SO convenient when I am on my way home from work and can swing in there quickly. They have a lot of organic/​natural food and treats. They even sell antlers which can be hard to find
Customer Service: EXCELLENT!!! I came in one day with my German Shepherd and the guys there were so nice to him, petting him and giving him treats. They saw that I was buying a large bag of food and carried it up to the counter and to my car (i did not even ask).

There aren’t too many «specialty» items but it carries the food I feed my three dogs, and it is right across the street so I can’t complain. Their prices are pretty competitive too. The reason why I gave them four stars instead of the full five is because the staff isn’t too enthusiastic — they seem miserable. Also, I feel like I know more about the products they carry than they do themselves.

Nicest staff! Cute little store full of pet stuff! Gives dog treats as samples if he/​she likes them or not. Gots a reward card to gain free stuff and discounts! (store brands gives double points to reward program!)

My first time in the store. I figured I would look around check prices and leave. Instead I was greated at the door asked if I needed help and then shown the food I wanted for my dog. The price was the same as a similar food I was forced to buy from a big store after a recall. The store was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. They offered a price match on the food with receipt. I didnt have a receipt but there price was close enough for me. I will return.

New store. Great location. Very clean and well organized. Friendly staff and they’re efficient too. Small selection of products for rabbits, but they have the basics. Prices are comparable with larger pet stores in the area for rabbit supplies. I will definitely return!

Nice. clean, small shop, caters to most low end pet owners. Nothing high end hear other than cat and dog food. Good place to pick any emergency suppilies. Prices a bit higher than most competitors or larger stores
