I’ve been going to Saveway Dry Cleaners for more than ten years. The service is excellent, my clothes come out great and the owners, Steve And Doris Schwartz are wonderful and friendly. They offer same day service which is ideal. The work is all done right there which I like. I’ve had very good experience with their tailor shop located inside the store. He hemmed my suit for me in a day and it was perfect. They definitely aim to please. Highly recommend.

DONOTUSESAVEWAYCLEANERSATALL! I went in and had 14 dress shirts cleaned and a pair of suit pants to be altered and spent $ 50 and it was nothing short of a nightmare. First, they use ink on the shirt collars to identify the clothing… as if they are not smart enough to find a less archaic way to do so. The clerk did not tell me that they do this and INKEDMYSHIRTSWITHOUTMYCONSENT. In the process, they stained and ruined ALL the shirts. It was like pulling teeth to get them to rectify the situation as it took over a week. On top of that, the manager, Roy, has an extremely lackadaisical approach in his customer service skills. He said he would only refund me the money I paid for the shirts on the condition that I don’t speak to the owners, whom apparently he is afraid of and rightfully so because I bet this isn’t the first time Saveway has ruined any clothing. He was rude and unapologetic about the situation and tried to weasel his way out of it by not attempting to remove the ink stains from ALL the shirts. The tailor botched the pants too but at least he was apologetic and willing to rectify the situation on the spot. I am still going to let the owners of this place know that their employees sans the tailor are incompetent and insolent. Do yourself a favor and GOELSEWHERE for your dry cleaning needs.

Pros: Excellent work on dry cleaning as well as regular wash. Can’t beat the customer service. Dry cleaned cloths looked even better than when I bought them. Cons: Too expensive. About 20% or more costly than near by competitors(they all suck).

Would never go back. Poor Quality cleaning & steam pressing. A superior place to go is WeCare Cleaners on Broad St. Clifton across from the Stop and Shop.

Do not go to this dry cleaners! I have been a loyal customer for a year since I moved to Clifton. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars there. I just picked up $ 150 worth of clothes and my brand new silk top was ruined. It had small rips all over it. The owner Dorris told me that there was nothing she could do and that unfortunately she can’t take responsibility for every single thing that goes wrong. Terrible!!!

Great tailor! He saved my expensive bedspread and it did not even break the bank! Great prices and service! Highly recommend this place! It’s hard to find a good tailor these days

This place does a great job. Everyone says hello when you walk in. They do a great job with clothes and will turn things around same day if you need it at no extra charge. They know their customer service! Had to get a button replaced on my pants and they did it for free, that will keep me coming back! Great hours as well!

This is the best place to take shirts and dry cleaning because of their fantastic hours… Mon-Sat: Great 5:00am to 7:00pm; in by 10am, pickup after 1pm plus a 24 hour dropbox. To those that go here for tailoring or delicate work, ask yourself, «Why did I go to a dry cleaning and laundry factory to have my detailed work done?!» Feel free to read my other reviews to learn what’s probably the best place in the area to have tailoring and delicates handled.

I have been going here for 30 years and love the job they do. I work close to their store. They offer same day service, in by 10 and out by 4. This is important to me because I always forget to get my dry cleaning done until I am down to very little in my closet. The folks at Saveway Cleaners have even helped me out with tailoring jobs in a pinch. I needed my dress hemmed before a big event. It was done in two days and it came back beautifully. Most places wanted me to wait over a week. I also, got a receipt marked with the price on it prior to leaving. I was shocked by some of the other posts. Their experiences are so different from mine.

Horrible! I brought in a black sweater to be cleaned and they destroyed it by tearing a huge hole in the front. The worst part is that they took no responsibility for it and claimed I brought it in damaged. The owner is a horrible woman, who verbally attacked me when I came in to speak with her about my damaged sweater and came up with all these different ways in which I damaged my own sweater! I filed a complaint with the BBB about this issue. STAYAWAY!!!

this tailor is an awful cheat. i brought in three pairs of dungarees to have hemmed with the original bottoms. i was quoted $ 10 each, when i went to pick them up about a week or so later, the(presumable) owner said they were $ 14 each. he(supposedly) called the man i’d spoken to and(supposedly) asked what he’d quoted me and was(supposedly) told it was $ 14 —(he, inconsiderately, spoke his native language to the man in front of me so that i would not understand). okay, $ 14 isn’t a huge difference, but instead of the total being $ 30, it was $ 42, a difference of $ 12 — which for a recent, jobless, college grad, was quite a bit. afterward, i noticed that they hadn’t CUT any fabric, but instead folded it up and sewed it with a cuff on the inside. after a month or two, the threading started coming loose and the hem dropped. shoddy work. i brought them somewhere else. i’m in my mid twenties and my family has been taking me there since i was in grammar school. i will never, ever go back there again and told the rude, rude, rude owner as much.
