This place is SO good. The mac and cheese burger is holy, and mimosas are the best I’ve ever had. Definitely going to become a regular spot for me.

This place is a wonderful hidden gem. The move is to hike on the bull run-occoquan trail and make the short drive over afterwards to relax and fill up. Mac and cheese or Katie burger are my go-to + $ 3 rolling rock tall boys. Good food, good drinks, good vibes. Solid service and friendly atmosphere.

The food is great! Try a burger or a Reuben sandwich! The atmosphere is very friendly. Try to sit outside, if the weather is nice. The only drawback is the size. This place is pretty small, and can get very crowded. Several times, we left before being seated, due to the wait. But that’s more of a testament to the quality of the food.

Stopped in for lunch. Disguised as a corner store, you walk in and place Togo orders at the counter. I ordered a burger with fries. Nothing special. It was aiiiiight. I ordered it medium but came out well. What can you expect from a frozen patty? If I was in this part of town I would stop back in. Maybe to try the steak n cheese

Great little sandwich place in Historic Clifton. Parking can be a pain sometimes. Park across the street! Servers are always super friendly. The Onion Rings are yummy, we order them for pick up when we are having a craving!

Nice ambiance. You walk through the country store to get to the pub. There are live flowers on the tables and the food is served on ceramic plates. Food presentation is nice. Some dishes are better than others but that is more personal taste than criticism. Everything is good.

This is a very cozy place with a great hamburger. Has a small town feel with very fast service. Good selection of beer for a good price.

Came here on a glorious warm day in December. They were smart to open their outdoor dining. It’s a nice small patio. Main Street was a solid choice from a food perspective. They aren’t catering to refined tastes nor are they challenging palates. But that’s Ok because they don’t pretend to do those things. Expect standard American pub food done pretty well. I got the Chicken Tender wrap. The tenders were very crispy and tender. They were well executed. The honey mustard was standard bottle stuff but fine. The lettuce and tomato were a good addition. The wrap was a bit too much papery/floury for the amount of chicken. It was red but really tasted like a standard wrap. Overall, Main Street pub is good group food. Everyone can get something familiar that is well executed in the traditional sense. Nothing exotic or challenging about this cuisine.

Just wow! Can’t believe I didn’t find this place until today… That’s the only thing that made me sad today… I am an experienced connoisseur when it comes to burgers and Reubens and this place has the best I’ve tasted in the DMV area. I can’t wait to bring my little girl here for daddy Madi dates! The tater tots and beer battered fries are perfect sides to them. Don’t even think about it… Just go!

I’ve been to The Main Street Pub four times and I’m always delighted. There’s a quaint small town feel to Clifton even though it’s just a few miles outside of Fairfax where most everything is busy, commercial and/or franchised. The Main Street Pub feels like a slice of past Americana, occupying an old Texaco station and still featuring a General Store at the front of the pub. The food is pub-fare, with burgers, sandwiches, wraps, soups, etc. My personal favorite is their Reuben, with perfectly toasted buttery rye bread. The Main Street Pub is a great step away from the busy.

I’m very impressed. I went with my wife and 12-year old and got Tom’s sandwich, chili, and something with tater tots, sausage, and an egg. This place is not fancy and the food is not sophisticated, but every single dish was cooked to near perfection. It was near full on a Thursday night, but service was good and friendly, and the cook knows his stuff. We want to go back for breakfast.

I’ve been here twice, once on a Saturday and once on a Sunday. It gets aces for the service, the atmosphere, and the food. I had the Carolina BBQ sandwich and potato salad the first time(delicious) and the hot dog sandwich(it really is good) and tots the second time. Everything was perfectly cooked. I also snitched some of my son’s sweet potato fries — and they were perfect too, which is refreshing because I’ve had my share of some limp sweet potato fries at other restaurants. My son had the steak and cheese the first time and the cod sandwich the second time, and inhaled both. Clientele are nice, no worries. Worth the drive; they do simple things well. If only all restaurants could do the same. Will repeat!

Meh. I came here expecting to be wowed. I saw the reviews and I saw the crowd and I sort of expected a good meal. We came here Memorial Day weekend. It was packed, but we expected that. We were able to get a table immediately though. Our server came by and got our drink order. It took awhile for the water to get to the table, so I figured when she returned, we better be ready with our order. I ordered the chicken sandwich without the buffalo sauce. My husband ordered a burger, medium. We wait. And wait. And finally our food arrives. My husband’s burger was well done. My chicken sandwich was tough. Like, I had to fight it to eat it. Fries were ok. Refills were slow to arrive. Service was not great. The server was super chatty with the table beside us, but had not a whole lot to say to us. I found that odd. I’m chatty, so it’s not like I gave off the vibe that I minded her being friendly. She simply wasn’t. All in all, I’m not too enthused about this place. I want to come back one more time before writing it off, simply because it would be nice to have another place to go in Clifton.

Let me start off by saying that I love the town of Clifton! My bf and I came here last night for dinner and some drinks, we loved the place. It’s very snug so if you suffer from claustrophobia I don’t suggest going during peak hours. We started off with the beer battered scallops, SOGOOD! I had the Italian sub which was very yummy. My bf had a burger that was also very yummy. I really don’t think you can go wrong with any of the items on the menu. Very casual dining. Will definitely go back!

Kudos to a pub that is close to home and serves up good food and beverages. Parking in Clifton can be a pain but the restaurant has a few spaces in the back of their building. There’s street parking but it’s at a premium depending on the time of day. At the back of a cool grocery store is a very cool pub. They do a small happy hour on the weekends, some deals on appetizers and a buck or two discount on their drinks. They have a very basic menu and their food is always spot on fresh made. I’ve enjoyed some of their specials. Recently I enjoyed a daily special of Chili and a Burger. It was hearty and a good combo for a cold day. Service is always friendly and quick. There are only a limited amount of tables so go early or come late night. There’s a nice outdoor covered area that is great during the warmer months.

This local hang out is the heart of Clifton. When you walk in the door, you are greeted by a small general store. As you walk through to the back, the atmosphere turns into a bustling neighborhood hangout. There are a few bar seats and tables in the pub area. There is also seating outdoors and don’t be fooled, you will not freeze because they have blankets and heaters. I love sitting outside. The food is so good and they have nightly happy hour specials. My favorites are the Bavarian pretzels and tall tower of onion rings. They make amazing sandwiches including vegetarian options. Did I also mention that their bartenders pour a cool drink, and can make any concoction you desire. This is a hidden gem but the word is out. Parking can be limited in their tiny back lot but there is ample street parking. Sometimes they have bands playing on the weekends. Locals love this place, it’s worth a visit!
