Vibe Cuts

My first time at this barber shop, and certainly will not be my last. I came here on a short notice when I needed a clean business cut as, my other barber of 6 years screwed up my hair. I wasn’t sure where to go. The owner, Carlos did the cut, and he did a great job. I am very happy and will be going to see Carlos for my next cut.
Carlos takes his time, and puts his expertise and effort into whatever you’re looking for. I’m happy I stumbled upon this place.
I notice that he also has a phone dedicated to the business, so you can schedule with him directly from a text if you want. Doesn’t get anymore personable than that. Also it’s important I note that I arrived unannounced a little past close time, Carlos opened the doors back up for me. Speaks volumes on the level of client service you receive.
From reading the other reviews he is the true «Master Barber».

I walked in and both barbers ignored that I was even there. It continued 40 mins more before I decided to leave.

I have never reviewed on Unilocal before, but I am so impressed with the service and haircut my nephew received that I had to give him 5 stars! My 7-​year old nephew asked for «spike with 2 lines on the side» and Carlos knew exactly what to do and he was meticulous in how he trimmed the sides and did the lines. Carlos is great with kids, the place was very clean — even the bathroom. I highly recommend Vibe Cuts.
One tip — the place is small and hard to see while you’re driving by — trust your GPS, it’s the little door in between the Mexican restaurant (also very good) and the car-​detailing place.

I’m a student at montclair state univ. and I was in need of a barber. Saw the shop, came inside, and came out looking FRESH. Excellent barbers and a cool vibe. The barber I had was Carlos, great barber and very chill. Anyone who needs a fresh cut should definitely check out vibes.

My barber, Quan cuts my son’s hair. He is great with the kids, primarily because they can literally see eye-​to-​eye.
If you have a child that has a fear of sitting in a chair, with a cape all while having a sharp, buzzing electrical apparatus rubbing their delicate scalp, then this is the place for you

Excellent Haircuts plus an excellent service what more can I say, these guys are the real deal. I felt very welcomed in this barbershop, finding places like this is very hard, not many barbers know what they’re doing out here. You can see how much effort these guys put into what they do. Thanks a lot to Carlos for lacing me up. Definitely coming back.

This barber shop was excellent. Q makes the cleanest cuts in no time at all. Would highly recommend this shop to anyone in the area. The interior is well maintained and there was a very limited wait time. The only downsides to this location are the limited parking out front and that they do not take credit cards, but there is an ATM inside.

I’ve never stepped foot inside a barbershop. I honestly never liked them. I was hesitant at first to come, but all the reviews helped tremendously. I gave it a shot and man was I surprised. I called Monday morning, it’s by appointment only on mondays, and got there a little too early, so I waited. Once Carlos, the owner, came he greeted me, sat me down and asked what I wanted and if I had a picture of it. I said I wanted a modern comb over and the sides faded. Carlos, nodded and got to work. Once, he began working I realized he had incredible experience and was really an true barber. Carlos, observed how my hair grew, what natural shape it had, made suggestions as to how to better achieve the style I wanted, and also kept me abreast about what he was going to do. Carlos isn’t and probably won’t be a barber who just sits you down and cuts your hair and moves on to the next. He observed every detail, added extra touches, double checked his work, and took extra time to make sure he was satisfied with the outcome of the haircut and also that I knew what I was getting and what it looked like. I have never been so impressed or seen someone so truly immersed in their craft like Carlos, he really is an artist. I will keep coming back for haircuts, no matter what. If you are thinking about coming, don’t doubt it. COME NOW, and ask for Carlos. You won’t be disappointed or feel like you got a bad haircut. On the contrary you will be happy and feel like a million bucks.

Vibe Cuts — in Clifton is hands down the BEST barber shop I’ve been to period !
Let me explain:
Most barber shops, from my experience, (busy ones anyway) generally have you come down and then promise to have you in the chair within a certain time frame — say 15 – 20 minutes or in Shop terms, 1 head before you.
Basically they BS you ! You end up showing up at 3pm and get in the chair hoepfuly by 6pm ! Sorry — don’t have time to waste and sure don’t have money to waste on those who waste my time.
Which is how I found Los and Vibe Cuts to begin with.
The owner Carlos «Los» is the owner as well as the craftsman/​artist behind the buzzer (BTB) — he’s exceptional at what he does, simply because he’s passionate about his craft AND he is an ARTIST !!
He’s been cutting hair and shaping beards since he was a teenager. Now in between his time of «Developing» his craft, he was also building a career as a Music Producer.
Hence the name: VIBE Cuts !
If you’re lucky enough to experience Vibe Cuts, then Los will be kind enough to give you his Business Cell #. What’s the benefit of that? Basically avoiding the same BS I illustrated in the beginning of my post. Zero BS and you’re setting a specific time with LOS directly.
You show up — you chill shortly while he finishes the customer before you, all the time «Vibing» and relaxin 2 whatever they have playing in the shop. These music genres vary from Hip Hop — old school and some newer BUT fresh stuff, as well as R&B, House, chill trance and whatever else LOS and his team decide works for the mood.
The place is SPOTLESS — literally ! You never see hair on the floor or frustrated customers hovering around waiting and waiting and waiting !!
His prices are conservatively scaled in my opinion based on the finished product.
I’ve been going to VC’s and LoS now for almost 8 months. Shape my beard — trim my hair or sometimes I’ll just stop by to grab some tracks he threw together for me so I have something cool to play while I’m commuting to work during the week
Yup — I said that !
That’s because Los is my barber but also my boy. You don’t come across sincere, hard working and passionate professionals often and when you meet Los, you’ll see what I mean.

I was unsatisfied with my previous barbershop and so I did a Unilocal search and found Vibe. The reviews previously posted were very helpful and made me feel comfortable trying out this place. I HAVE NO REGRETS! My hair was cut by Carlos and he spent over an hour cutting my hair, trimming my beard and eyebrows, and then going over it all again with IMPECCABLE attention to detail. I definitely made the right choice switching and this will be my regular shop from now on.
The atmosphere is relaxed and there is a good «vibe». They use Pandora so they music isn’t interrupted by radio advertisements and can easily be changed. There was no wait.
I’ve already received compliments on my cut and look forward to returning soon.

Went in there for the first time the other day. Carlos did a GREAT job. Definitely will be returning.
