For a great meal at affordable prices, Gina’s Café is a favorite destination in the Mount Clemens area. Has it really been 2 years since I wrote my initial review? Where has the time gone? Gina’s Café. I have probably dined here as often as not when visiting. The line of people waiting for a seat can go out the door anytime on the weekends. When the parking lot is full, and there is a line, I sadly have to go elsewhere. But mention Gina’s to anyone who has ever eaten there and their eyes light up in anticipation. The food is delicious and plentiful. If you want to know what is being served there, just ‘read the writing on the wall’. Literally, the menu adorns the walls, in a tasteful way. For a single diner, up to a group of 4(5 if they squeeze one in on the end of the table), this is an excellent eatery with mid-western value and wholesome meals. Breakfast and lunch are offered, and they are closed during the Chistmas/New Years holiday season.

Place is amazing, honestly one of the best breakfast menus I’ve ever seen. I ordered the hollandaise omelette, which was amazing! My buddy got a avocado omelette which I’m not a huge fan of avocado but tried it and it was equally as good as my order. Girlfriend got a side of pancakes… I’ve never had regular pancakes taste so good. They were perfectly crispy with a cake batter taste, it was a treat. The Restaraunt was very busy but staff works fast while making you feel like they aren’t rushed. Very short ticket time for food also. This place is a well oiled machine. I would give a 5+ stars if it was an option…

I found this place on Unilocal,it’s about 15 mins from my house so I thought, «Hey why not give it a try». The location is pretty small and unassuming, their was about 10mins wait before I was able to get a table. The menu had a nice variety of items including breakfast, lunch and dinner. I decided to have pancakes, eggs, bacon and hash brown. THEBESTPANCAKES I have EVER had in my life hands down! They were moist and creamy, while managing to remain light and fluffy. I would recommend the home fries over the hash browns. My boyfriend had the Florentine Omelet which was also amazing. My only complaint was not having the option of turkey sausage. I would highly recommend this restaurant and am looking forward to my next visit!

Wife and I stopped in for the first time and we wanted to see how they handled just an everyday breakfast order. A 2×4 and their everything omelet. Well the 2×4 was nothing to write home about. The potatoes were just barely warm and about half of the chunks were not cooked completely. The breakfast sausages were some of the most bland tasting we ever had. The omelet was really just scrambled eggs with the ingredients mixed in and the eggs folded over. That’s not an omelet. The«omelet» was so poorly cooked that the cheese included was cold and not even near the melting point. I chose tomatoes to go with the«omelet» and they were some pasty white flesh plastic tasting slices that were terrible. They were kind enough to allow me a small taste of their gravy for biscuits and gravy. Absolutely like eating flour and water paste with some sort of mystery chunks. They have no clue as to what a proper roux base is to make outstanding gravy. Also, I don’t know where the habit of the waitresses telling customers«No Hurry» when placing the bill at the table came from, but it’s a classless practice. Does anyone think that I’m going to hurry because a bill has been left at the table. Just quietly place the bill face down on the table and leave it. We did not inform the waitress of our complaint because she wasn’t responsible for the poorly cooked food and at check out I gave a very strong mention that I wasn’t a happy customer by asking if I could e-mail the restaurant with this opinion. I was told no email was available and I was directed to write a review on Unilocal

I was really ticked at this place because I tried to go there and they were closed for a month. After waiting a long time to eat there and in 25 minutes to eat breakfast it was pretty damn good. Really good sausage gravy and Mexican skillet had like three whole jalapeños. Hot! Def would go back.

Small but really good food. Nice waitstaff. Sometimes you have to wait for a seat but it’s worth it if you really like breakfast lunch or brunch. I get the country fried steak and eggs. It’s really the best I have tasted around here. The bread selections are really off the chart. I like the MI Apple toast, mmm. Get there before 3pm though or you will be out of luck. It’s also closed on Mondays.

Gina’s was excellent and as good as the reviews. I had lunch and my husband had breakfast. You can’t go wrong with either. Our waitress was very nice and made some nice recommendations. Don’t let a small line discourage you from going in as the wait is not more than 5 – 10 minutes. We will be back again.

Gina’s is excellent! Friendly staff, quick service, and a breakfast menu that will keep you coming back! I had a skillet with Hungarian sausage and hollandaise sauce, with some delightful Traverse City cherry bread. Check this place out, you won’t regret it!!!

This is my favorite breakfast place in the area. On a weekend morning, be prepared to wait in line in the tiny entranceway though. The place is pretty small and busy on the weekends, but the food is worth the wait. Their coffee is delicious and always fresh. The staff is always friendly and attentive. My favorites are the eggs Benedict, eggs florentine, mexican skillet, and the berry French toast. They always have a few seasonal options as well. Overall, don’t come here on a weekend if in a hurry, but if you want good food in a family owned place, Ginas is it.

LOVE this restaurant! ! Their michigan salad and the wrap are fabulous! And for there lunch special of $ 7, you cannot beat it. Order their parmesan dressing with it, you wont be disappointed! !! The lunch special also comes with soup! Food is also always fresh, never had a incorrect order and Gina is the friendliest! I go at least once per week! Breakfast is also yummy, generous portions, great prices.

Do not order the cinnamon roll French toast. It will ruin your sleep because you will lay awake thinking: I must have that right now again!!! I haven’t had a meal there, whether breakfast or lunch that wasn’t great tasting, fresh and served with a smile. Ok… order the cinnamon roll French toast, but don’t blame me if you become addicted to it!

My fiancé parents come here every weekend with friends of theirs, but this was my first time here. The latte was ridic big and way too sweet. My son loved the Mickey pancakes and sausage. The Greek omelet was ok, the home fries were good since I ordered them well done. My fiancé ordered Gina’s Special, he said it was good but the ham could have been a little better. Overall we would come back again.

Great place with great food! Large menu, amazing toast, friendly servers and hot coffee. Would highly suggest arriving early on the weekends as this place fills up quickly… And for good reason!

I am from out of town and was counting on the reviews to lead me to a great lunch spot, and they didn’t disappoint. The food here is amazing and fresh, and the staff is super friendly. Great atmosphere as well.

Finally checked Gina’s out. Food was really good. About 15 minute wait at 10:30 Sunday Morning. We filtered in beaten the church rushes, I think. Daily special were creative and fresh. Fresh squeezed orange juice! 20+different coffee concoctions. I’m a tea drinker, and they had at least 10 different finds 5o choose from. Looks like Stash or Republic of Tea, by the selection offered. I had the 2−2−2, eggs over medium, bacon, French Toast. Bacon cooked perfectly. Eggs yummy. French Toast was super thick, so definitely want syrup. Husband and son liked their breakfast. My son said his scrambled eggs were a little slimy, but he still ate them just fine. Could’ve been worked a little more on the grittle. Tables moved quickly, wait staff was efficient and quick. For 3 meals, with additional Multigrain toast, coffee, monster hot chocolate and two fresh squeezed orange juices: $ 29. We’ll be back, and telling others.

To begin with, the lot is relatively small as is the restaurant, so try to go on off hours if you want to find a spot and not wait for a table. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes early on a Saturday morning. Once we were seated we got our drinks promptly and the service/time to get our order was fine. The waitresses were really busy, but managed to be friendly. I appreciated that they cooked my hashbrowns extra crispy like I asked, and the vegetables in my veggie omelette were fresh, but I couldn’t look past the fact that my entire breakfast was swimming in grease. I’m not talking a bit of extra butter or something here… I’m talking the entire bottom of my plate had a pool of liquid grease. Not very appetizing, but what I did eat tasted ok. Overall the food and service was decent and the price was good, but it’s not my favorite.

I’ve only every been here for breakfast, but food is great every time! Fresh. Breakfast specials until 11am. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because while I appreciate the attentiveness of the waitresses, they are a little TOO attentive. When they are at your table every couple minutes it’s hard to enjoy your conversation with the person your with!

Great little place! Stopped in for breakfast based on the Unilocal*reviews. I had with me my two nieces(8&9 years old) — I was telling them all about Unilocal, and showing them my reviews… and I told them this would be their first Unilocaling experience. They were too cute! We had a great breakfast! You can just tell when something is home made. The hashbrowns were a tad… just a smidge under cooked, and you could taste the potatoey goodness of fresh potatoes… So you can’t go wrong with Gina’s café. Service was great, prices very reasonable, and I actually plan to go back in the near future to try some of her great looking sandwiches! Rock on GINA!

I have been eying ‘Gina’s Café’ for the past few days after reading all the wonderful reviews and today was the day my boyfriend and I tried it out! My boyfriend and I arrived around 11:45am and the place was packed! Only one table available. The waitress came over in a few seconds and got our drink orders before we even had a chance to check out the menu. I ordered the skillet with over hard eggs, cheese, home fries, green peppers and ham. Delicious! The portion was huge! My eggs were cooked perfectly(which is hard for a lot of restaurants to do! The cheese was cheddar but so melty like nacho cheese. I loved it! My boyfriend ordered asparagus omelet with hash browns and wheat toast. Definitely something different! The asparagus was so fresh and delicious. Perfectly cooked. The hashbrowns were not too crispy, perfectly toasted. The wheat toast: AMAZING! I’m not sure what it was but the toast tasted the best ever. Very grainy. The café has several colorful menu’s posted on the walls with breakfast, lunch, drink and soup specials. Smore’s pancakes. Resses Pancakes. Caramel Apple Cappachino. My stomach is growling just thinking about them! Definitely can’t wait to go back! Fast service and definitely inexpensive!
