If you buy a full sub, you better be hungry! A full sub is huge! Sometimes we split one. Great price for a huge sandwich. The new owner Joe is a great guy and easy to talk to. Be careful, the shop is small and easy to pass up. Once you try it, you won’t forget it the place. Great food and Great people. I would suggest it to anyone.

In summer of 2015 I brought 3 Terrys subs to a pool party on the east side. They were phenomenal and now we drive from Rochester to get them. Owners have changed recently and have made so many changes already to the appearance of the place! They now take debit/credit cards too SCORE! PS — Our favorite sub is the club!

Seriously the best sub I’ve ever had, hands down. Don’t let the location, run down/unassuming building detour you. This place is kicking out some serious subs. And get this, a whole sub is only $ 8.99! That may seem high at first, but a whole mean a WHOLE loaf of Italian! Yes, you heard me — a WHOLE loaf! This sub is a Beast! And so Damn good. Get a Terry’s special, with everything a then compliment me later ;) Ham, salami, cheese, shredded lettuce, thin slices onion, tomatoes, mild peppers, and the kicker– pickles! Some of their magic dressing and seasoning and you’ve somehow forgotten every sub you’ve ever eaten before this. They fresh make it, and slice everything right there in front of you. Ok, so the fact that they are behind bullet proof glass might seem a little unsettling(at 1st) but can they help the crappy crime this world has, or maybe their subs are just that damn good people wana steal them all the time. Regardless, for the over 10 years I’ve been eating these subs, the same guy and girl been cranking out some mighty fine big eats. Get a whole Terry’s special and make you belly happy. Cash only too. No plastic.

Italian sub was very good. You can easily get four meals from one whole sub. Service by woman was very fast and friendly. Only wish that they would except credit cards.

Terry’s steak house is something like a myth. You hear all these great stories and reviews and you think, «hey that sounds like a great place.» So you go there and the place looks and smell like kitchen oil from 1973, asbestos and hint of vinegar. The guy who runs the place is very nice but the sandwiches are not made of quality meats. The game is think and chewy and the steak is not on the level of subway(very low bar) it’s like seasoned steak-umms. Gonella’s is a much better no frills sandwich shop.

Wow, when you get this sub and open it up, you literally cannot shut your mouth! It’s so large and filled with goodness, it’s hard to believe! I read all the reviews and as we’ve driven by Terry’s for years decided it was time to stop in. My husband got the steak and cheese and I’d been dying for an original Italian. Did we ever get what we asked for!!! I could only eat ¼ and my husband ½ of the sub. Next time will just order ½ one. You want the best and biggest sub you’ve ever had in your life? Get your next sub from Terry’s, you will not regret it!!! And the people are very nice, helpful and courteous!!! Will definitely be back!

Family has been getting Terry’s since they were first in Roseville. We love them. I’ve introduced many new people to a Terrys and they all go back for more. Some mention them being pricey. One sub makes easily two meals for a glutton like me. Their sub easily has 4 times more meat and cheese than a subway sub. The current owner Jeff who took over from Terry(Not his real name btw) years ago and has been carrying on the the Terry tradition of big tasty subs. I don’t care that the place needs some remodeling as long as they don’t start getting chintzy on the subs.

These subs are huge!!! Also delicious. I stopped on a whim. I’d never heard about it but live near by and I love sandwiches. These things are as big as your freaking head. You have to think about it and do some geometry in your head to figure out how to bite it. There is a lot of bread but I just peeled some off. The location is kinda awful, I’ve been harassed in the parking lot. But those subs are Damn good.

Terry’s Sub Shop has been at the 15 mile and Gratiot location forever. Seriously. My old elementary school used to be located directly across the street and I remember the teachers bringing back giant subs wrapped in wax paper back in the 1970’s. The original owner, Terry, is long gone from the business but his subs remain the same. Huge, fresh and delicious. I remember Terry being a lovable grouch-like character who had a funny business card with a black and white photo of him biting into a giant sub. Right before his retirement he proudly told me that he made his living selling one sandwich and did not have to offer 50+ choices like the competition. Everybody is selling sandwiches nowadays. Avoid the homogenized corporate giants and get an old fashioned sub from Terry’s wrapped in wax paper. The menu is pretty simple. Go there. Buy one. Now.

Will never eat here again. Lady was taking my order, collecting money, then touching the food without washing her hands. Gross! Place is ran down.

A little place with a little menu made from the best stuff they could source and stuffed into some wicked awesome bread! There are a bunch of sub shops right around this one, but don’t let the variety and familiarity lull you into passing this place by. They hit every note at this place and there is a reason why they can compete against the big boys. You can’t really go wrong here menu wise, just get what you like and leave happy.

Love these subs! Like the others that posted — do not let the appearance of the building fool you. You can only eat a half but a whole will feed two and maybe even three. They are made fresh, so I can see the slow service BUT it is worth the wait. For how long Terry has been around — that should tell you something right there.

This place is a diamond in the rough. These are hands down the best subs I have had in this area. I had the steak and cheese sub. It was very flavorful and tasty and the bread is super soft. The portions are HUGE, one half of my sub was as big as my head! The outside is run-down looking and it’s carry-out only. You will wait a bit to get your sandwich since they make everything fresh. Also, make sure to bring cash as they do not take credit/debit cards(I had to run across the street to the gas station to use the ATM, heh).

Maybe their subs are delicious? I wouldn’t know, I’ve never actually received one. Their service sure sucks. I stopped by for lunch yesterday. I thought $ 9 for a whole sub seemed expensive, but I’ve heard good things and thought I would give it a try. There was one person working, she was 40+ in age, with obvious back/leg problems hobbling around, she was«busy» making two subs(really? you can’t take an order from a menu that has 8 total items on it WHILE you’re making two subs?), and she refused to do anything but work on those two subs for well over 20 minutes. She looked miserable, acted miserable, and offered no customer service whatsoever. Long story short… After waiting 25 minutes before I got to speak to the one person they have working there, I was told that they don’t accept credit cards and left with nothing. The subs might be good, but their customer service is not and that’s enough to show me that they don’t care about their business. I won’t go back.

Wholly wah batman what a sub. I ordered theTerrys special and I could barely eat ½ it had so much it in. Cappicola, ham, salami, provolone, lettuce, onions, pickles and peppers. Served ona nice chewy bun that can handle the load of toppings. Terry was very friendly, it was if i had been a friend and customer for years, well now i will be. Looks can be deceiving so don’t let the looks of the place stop you from trying it. SEEKOUTTERRYS

This place is a hidden little gem. Its kinda dirty looking and totally needs to be overhauled however the subs are old school and massive. Inexpensive and delicious.

HUGE sub — especially for the money. Not the best sub in the world, but very good and you can’t beat the price for what you get. Building is run down and this is strictly a grab your sub and go kind of place, but definitely worth a try.
