White Castle

After 4 of their cheeseburgers with everything, I couldn’t imagine eating much more – by that point I was already tired of the flavor. But it was good while it lasted and I’m glad that White Castle serves their sandwiches in tiny portion sizes.
One day I’ll go back, but it has yet to hold a special place in my heart aside from «the place we need to go on our way home after a long night partying».

What to say about a franchise that’s been around forever? Well, at this particular location I can say this… the employees suck.
It doesn’t matter if I go in the afternoon, evening, or late at night-​anytime I have stopped at this location the people taking my orders talk like uneducated buffoons. They are confused by the simplest requests. «Can you be sure there are no pickles on anything I’m about to order please?» «What do you mean?» What do I mean? I mean pay attention you mentally challenged ignoramus! No pickles means no pickles.
The food is what it has always been. I’m not expecting a five-​star meal, but I do expect someone with a modicum of intelligence to take my order without making it seem like they are doing me a favor. You know who’s doing the favor? Me! I’m paying your bills you morons. Or at least I was. While I’ve been going to this location for over 20 years, I will NOT be going back in the future.

I had The Crave® on a Sunday afternoon. I was headed to the beach (Metro Beach) for an evening of rockin at the free Sunday Night Concert series, so I needed something to get me thru the night.
From the drive-​thru, I ordered a «Number 2» meal — 2 double cheeseburgers with everything, and fries and a drink.
I didn’t wait long and out came the order, the scrumptious double cheeseburgers in their own little boxes, facing each other in the sack, and my fries standing upright in a similar box. I drove away, along my route sampling a couple fries at a time.
Man, some of those buggers were from Texas sized potatoes — I didn’t know they made fries that long! And meaty too, not the matchstick-​thin fries you get at other places. OK, they were hot — like hot, as in burns your fingers a little if you hold em too long. So I didn’t hold em too long — in the mouth for some real eating satisfaction!
I finished my fries and it was time for the double cheeseburgers. I reached into the bag and flipped the cheeseburger boxes upright. Then I selected one of the boxes and tried to extract its contents. No way. I had to pull the box out, then I almost pulled over to use two hands to get the burger out. I finally got it, and realized the wonderfully melted cheese was fighting me by sticking to the box. The 2^nd burger didn’t cause such a fuss and before I knew it, I was almost to the beach.
Words alone can not describe the satisfying feeling of eating a couple double cheeseburgers, then finding those bonus fries at the bottom of the sack — you know, the ones that fall out from the rest and are still waiting to be eaten at the end of your meal. Yep, there they were, only I could actually hold them because they cooled off. Too bad tho, because they didn’t last more than a couple seconds. Yummy for the tummy!
Yeah, I’m a repeat customer.

I don’t care how gross you may think this place is, you can deny it’s delicious magnetism.
I’m here once a year, and yes, once a year may be enough, but that once a year visit to this specific location is what dreams are made of.
Those perfect little burgers, that completely melt in your mouth in the two or three bites it takes, are oh so good. It’s like burger sushi. Yes, that’s right.
As much as I like the original style, I love the double mini cheeseburgers. Double burgers are always better, no matter what the size!
