This is the best bagel place I have ever been to, even one’s in New York can’t compare. I usually get sausage, egg and cheese on a plain bagel and it is delicious! There can be a long line but it moves fairly quickly considering how many orders they have to make. My family once asked the owner how many bagels they sell every day and she responded with about 5000, which is pretty impressive considering they are only open for a couple hours each day. Around the holidays, they also make colored bagels to add some festivity such as for Christmas and the 4th of July!

I have eaten here a few times now and I’ve gotta say I’m a fan. The breakfast sandwiches are great especially the Taylor ham egg and cheese. The bagels are nice and chewy and not overdone as so many bagel shops seem to do. The flagels are good as well, and their coffee is excellent. If you are in the area or driving thru on I78 it’s definitely worth a stop.

Solid bagel joint! I visited here on a Sunday morning and there wasn’t really a tremendous wait. The bagels are fresh and delicious. I also tried a cinnamon spice coffee and it was great. I’m not sure if the wait is longer on weekdays during rush hour. I’ll definitely be back soon for more yummy bagels!

The wait isn’t really worth it. The staff is really young and sort of clueless. I will say their olive cream cheese is pretty good… but not that good to the point I want to stand 15 minutes for it.

A friend and I were off on a road trip and needed a quick bite. Although I am in Clinton all the time, I had never been to this gem of a spot. My buddy, a High Bridge resident, stops here daily. If I lived nearby, I would too. Toasted onion and scallion cream cheese, please. Medium coffee. I regret all the time I have spent in other nearby establishments. Really friendly service and most important, an excellent bagel. Can’t wait for my next visit.

My visit was the first since I moved away from Clinton. Such a disappointment. Counter help disorganized and my sales girl couldn’t make change. Bagels weren’t as fresh as I remember them. Coffee dispensers were empty and needed a clean up. Has this place been sold in the last 4 years? Very poor quality

I love a good bagel and while this place is convenient for us folks in Clinton, I think it’s just average as far as offering up a good bagel. They tend to be a bit doughy and dense. With that said they are really the only true bagel place around so I will continue to go back. Also, lunch sandwiches here are pretty good.

Friendly people. Amazing pork roll sandwich. Grrat bagels. They are always busy. No complaints.

Decent bagels/pricing, but the set up is as if its run by amateurs. When you walk in your not sure as to which line is which, staff is rude, their work area seems dirty, and the worst part is the wait. I watched three people walk out in frustration and I waited for 20 mins for a salt bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese. Staff messed up order twice. I have been there numerous times and same issues over and over again. DONOTGOTHERE. They need a consultant or someone to straighten out the layout.

The bagels are good but the wait is atrocious… Nothing like getting your morning started by waiting 20−30mins for a bacon, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel. Until they figure out how to cook eggs and bacon in a decent amount of time, I’ll be driving pass this place going forward.

Best bagels I’ve found in NJ and I’ve searched far and wide. I’m thankful that I live locally. They’re pretty dense and chewy with a crispy crust. They’re not big, and that’s a GREAT thing. Some of the reviews here are silly talking about how the bagels are too small. If these people want big, fluffy bagels like you can find at Dunkin Donuts, hospital cafes and gas stations then they just just go there. That’s thankfully not what these are! The bagels are always fresh and come in a good variety some of which are unique to them. My favorite is their Black Russian which is pumpernickel with raisins. As a tip, you can ask for any bagel«well done» which will get you the ones that happen to be a little darker. As a deli they’re on the pricey side and the food is average. I’ve had a catering sandwich platter made which was oretty expensive and so-so. The staff is very friendly. Yes, the line can be long and staff can have their hands full at peak times, but it’s completely understandable. It’s a small but very good place that people flock to. If you want big, cheap, fluffy bagels served to you by people with all the time in the world because nobody goes to their store then Clinton Bagel Company is not the place for you.

This place is just okay. Okay bagels, okay prices, nothing that great. I much prefer other places, this is just, okay. When I don’t time to go anywhere else, I go there. There’s nothing wrong with this place, but it doesn’t have the best bagels in the world.

Ok, I lived in NYC for many years. I know what a bagel should be. These are not bagels. They are tiny, pale and kinda flat. There is no crisp shiny crust and fluffy interior. I don’t know what happened here, they used to be decent but not anymore. They always seem to be out of sesame bagels also. I don’t know why that is, it just is. We used to go here but stopped — the bagels have gotten that bad.

It would be hard to find a better bagel! Supposedly the Flagels(flat bagel) are the best but I just missed the last one. Friendly staff that move the crowds through quickly. Take your lunch out back to their picnic tables overlooking the creek, a pleasant surprise!

I’ve stopped in here numerous times and it has always been a pleasure. My last visit is what prompted this review. I went in with my boyfriend who was craving a poppyseed bagel. He absolutely LOVES poppyseed bagels. They seemed to have none left, and when we inquired the baker asked if we wouldn’t mind waiting about 5 minutes for them to come out of the oven. So we did! Fresh out-of-the-oven bagels! I was grateful that they gave us the option to wait rather than just saying they were out of poppyseed bagels. The staff always seems to be friendly. I love this place! Beware — since it is so good it will be crowded!

Not bad. Not good, but not bad. The service is pretty fast although I never know who actually has my order. One person will take it, then hand it off after grabbing the bagels I chose, so pay close attention when it gets busy. Also, the bagels are very small in comparison to other places. They taste great, but when I think of good North Jersey bagels, I think big. These remind me of Dunkin Donuts. There are many better bagel places in Hunterdon County in my opinion.

Kyle M. and Karen G. said it right in their reviews below. Ordering is chaotic, the line is always long, and it takes forever to get a bagel, which, I guarantee, will be small — and probably won’t be exactly what you ordered. I don’t know about you, but I doubt you’ve got twenty-five minutes to wait for a bagel on your way to work. If I had a dollar for every time I received a botched order, be it an incorrect item, a charred-ass bagel, or a sandwich with an ingredient missing or added, I’d be able to buy the joint. On a positive note, I give Clinton Bagel props for making their bagels on site; however, I wish the food was consistent. When they get it right, it can be delicious! But that happens so infrequently that I don’t understand why I’ve gone back to the shop so many times.

Not sure what all the hype is about these tiny bagels that are just OK. I’ve been here several times which is probably more than I should have been. I LOVE bagels and these disappoint for sure. The staff isn’t all that friendly either. I’d pass…

The food was basically what we expected it to be — decent bagel sandwiches. The menu had enough options that I think most people would be able to find something to enjoy. The service however was kinda lame. The staff working here today seemed to consist mostly of hungover teenagers who probably weren’t excited about school starting in a few weeks. They got Charlie’s sandwich wrong, twice. Though I did hear one of them say«Becky’s, like, in Dorney Park», so I don’t know, maybe she’s crucial to the functionality of the unit. Eat here once.
