Updated digital projector and sound system make this place even better than before. They also use coconut oil to pop their corn, which makes all the difference. A true diamond in the rough.

Obviously this place doesn’t have the selection, awesome surround sound, or comfortable seats that you would get from a major city theatre. But really, I’m surprised at the great selection of movies this theatre has, and the price is right in line with being in a small city. This place is fantastic for a small theatre, and the people working there are friendly. They even play some more liberal stuff that I really didn’t expect to see being this far out in the sticks. Definitely a great place to get your movie fix on in the area.

Great local 2nd run theater. Small capacity and a little«dated», but incredible service, great prices on popcorn/drinks, and… ALLSEATSARE $ 4.00!

If you’ve grown accustomed to movie theaters that show ten or twenty movies all at the same time, the Clinton Theater is a blast from the past. This small town theater only shows one flick at a time, but the films change over fairly frequently, and they let patrons vote for upcoming titles. They’re relatively recent releases, ANDIT’S ONLY4BUCKSPERHEAD. Tuesdays are only $ 3. Best deal since the closing of the super-cheap movies at Westgate Shopping Center and Briarwood in Ann Arbor. The Clinton Theater doesn’t take credit cards, but there’s an ATM nearby. They serve popcorn; they don’t want you to sneak your own snacks. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If you can abide by those rules, it’s a great deal! Check out the website to find out what’s showing and show times, because«hours change weekly,» according to the site. Get there early if you are particular about where you sit. The lobby is small and gets crowded fast. You pay for your ticket and either get in line for snacks or bypass that line and go to the extreme left and right walls to enter the auditorium. Hubby, always the engineer, counted nine seats per row and 30 rows to calculate 270 seats. The place was filling up nicely. We’ve been at Showcase a week after a movie has opened, and it has been like a ghost town, with only one or two dozen people in an enormous auditorium. Get a booster chair from the front if your child is too short to see over the top of everyone else. The floor is a little slanty. If you might have trouble walking, bring your cane. The air conditioning never got to be too chilly. I’d say it was just right for me. Hubby says he wants to come back frequently. Fine by me. It’s affordable entertainment.
