Dempsey’s Pizza

Clinton is exactly half way between my family in Anderson and where we are located in Columbia. Dempsey’s was a great spot to meet and eat. They had no problem handling our large party, and since it is a buffet everyone found something they liked. Generally I only do BBQ and Indian buffets, but Dempsey’s was good. We had ages ranging from 4 – 70 and everyone was happy. Staff was polite and kept our drinks filled. We’ll be coming back quartlerly for the same meal.

Stopped in for the buffet. WOW! Pizza to order, wings in many flavours, pasta’s, and desert. Reasonably priced, military and first responder friendly (be in uniform), great service, Mom & Pop owned family friendly service. We will definitely be back. What are you waiting for? Go get some pizza. WOW, and I can say that backwards; WOW!

Great Pizza… Largest and most delicious salad bar around. Great for families and seniors (Monday night senior specials) Really nice employees.

This has been a family owned business in town for as long as I can remember and is the best pizza restaurant around. On top of the pizza buffet having chicken wings and being great, the salad bar is also the best in town. As an added bonus if you don’t see a pizza you like or you just want your favoirte simple ask and there is a good chance they will make it for you.

Stopped here based on the Unilocal reviews and judging by the way the parking lot was full it is not a secret anymore. The place was really packed but the restaurant is run very well. Great service all the way around. The food was kept replenished at all times. The salad bar was fresh, full, and top notch. The pizza was exceptional with a variety of flavors from cheese, taco, blt, philly, traditional flavors, but what got my attention was the pimento cheese/​jalapeño pizza. A strange combination but really worked together. A must try. The wings were very small and not the highlight of the meal but I am a wing snob. Two adults and a child were fed and feeling full for under $ 25 with the 5% cash discount. A great value and a greatl family restaurant. Dempseys is doing it right. They really care about their customers.

My husband and I moved from Spring Hill, FL 13 years ago. We are sorry we did not eat at Dempsey’s till years later! We love everything they have out on their buffet bar! We like to go when it is the busiest… when pizzas are coming out Hot and Freshess! During this time they will make ANY combination pizza you might like! My favorite includes Feta Cheese, Bacon, Mushroom. Taco pizzas, BLT Pizzas… they will do many traditional pizzas with great red sauce or white sauce. My husbands LOVES their lasagna and spaghetti! The salad bar is always fresh and offers a lot of different fresh ingredients. They are constantly keeping it spotless and replacing the veggies. NO WHERE can you find a place that also now has All You Can Eat Wings which also is included! Have to save room for dessert… our favorite is the one with apple filling and with a slight drizzle of sugar sauce on top! ANYONE OVER 55 can eat there on MONDAYS for only $ 6.00!!! We do not know how the owner can do this… but we do appreciate this! If you get their before 5pm on Mondays… will not usually have to wait. If you get there after 5:30pm…the line is out the door curing down the sidewalk! WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE OWNER & HIS WIFE. They are hard-​working individuals and ALWAYS friendly no matter how busy they are! 2 of their sons work there along with a large staff of waitresses and young men behind the preparation area. WE BRING ALL OUR OUT OF STATE FRIENDS THERE WHEN VISITING US: friends from Ohio, Florida, Oklahoma! Some friends from Ohio are coming to visit soon… exact words were: «We want to go to that PIZZA PLACE & we want to go to that Mexican place. DEMPSEY’S IS THERE FAVORITE PLACE & THEY LIVE OVER 500 MILES AWAY!!!

Best Mom and Pop Pizza joint that we have had the pleasure of finding in a while! This is like a grown up Cici’s Pizza, but with a real crust, fresh ingredients, and impeccable service. Clean restaurant, kid friendly, and it even has a southern charm. We make a few trips to Asheville each year, and this will be a welcomed stop on the way.
The have a fresh salad bar and well maintained pizza buffet. If there is a pizza you like, but it’s not On the bar asks the good people at Dempsy’s, and they will make it for you. They have a few specialty pizzas that they make that are definitely worth trying. Whoda thought about a pimento cheese pizza?!? If you have room when your done, yet the cinnamon apple pizza for desert. You won’t be disappointed! Delish!
Dempsey’s is 9 miles off of I-​26, and well worth the detour. chances are Mr. Dempsey will be at the register when you leave. Now that’s just good business!

There are not many restaurants left that accommodate you well after their designated closing time. However, after a very long day, and an even longer drive, we were greeted at the door of Dempsey’s by a man with a smile and a very kind heart. We had arrived around 15 minutes after closing time, but after we explained our situation he welcomed us in, and even prepared a fresh buffet full of pizza, and our favorite wings. We had a party of five, and four of us ate at least three people’s worth of food. He never complained, never rushed us, and he walked us to the door thanking us for our visit.
As if the customer service wasn’t enough to love about this place the food was wonderful. Every pizza we tried (which was all of them!) was fresh. There was a large variety from all vegetable to all meat, thin crust and thick crust, and a small but appreciated variety of dessert pizza. The wings were small, but the flavor was big and we managed to clean out the bar three times. No, Dempsey’s is not gourmet, but it is family oriented, welcoming, and down right delicious. You can’t judge a small family style buffet on the same scale you judge a gourmet restaurant. Give credit where credit is due! Dempsey’s is definitely a new favorite and we will be returning time after time.

Pizza was not that great but love the salad bar, and the deserts were great!!! Very clean and friendly service but little overpriced.

Even if you don’t live in Clinton, it’s worth the drive to Dempsey’s to enjoy their tasty pizza! Every time I’ve been I’ve run into families from surrounding towns that drove 30 minutes or more just for Dempsey’s Pizza!
I’ve been to Dempsey’s on numerous occasions and have never had a bad experience. They always have a great variety of pizza on their buffet plus wings, spaghetti, soup, and a fresh salad bar.
I usually skip the salad and jump right to the pizza and wings. They always have pizzas you would expect to find on a pizza buffet — cheese, pepperoni, etc. But you have to check out their special pizzas like cheeseburger pizza, taco pizza, pimento cheese pizza, and their dessert pizzas. The wings are very small but tasty.

When we arrived, there was a line formed outside waiting to be seated — a very good sign in my experience. We waited about 15 minutes to be seated — and the feeding frenzy began. Pizza buffet — several varieties of pizza, salad, chicken wings, pasta… pizza was phenomenal. Wings OK. Dessert pizza — oh my. My favorite was the pimento cheese pizza. Owner’s wife was making the rounds, asked how I liked it — told her it was wonderful. She said it’s really good with jalapenos, and asked me if I’d like one like that. Sure! So off to the kitchen to have one made. Service like this (as well as from the wait staff) was superb. A must stop — and will return if in the area.

I would have to agree. I’m from ga and Stevie B’s is our place like this or cc’s but my wife is from Clinton and she must have it at least once while n town at least to remind u of the lack of quality if nothing else. Tons of places way better than this gas station pizza. lol Little Caesar is better than this place and I’m saying this bit just because of the prices.

This pizza buffet is amazing! Pizza, several different types of wings, salad bar, dessert pizza and a super friendly staff! Two big thumbs up! We will definitely eat here again! ***Added bonus: if you pay in cash, you get a discount!!***
