I cannot say enough about the meat dept. manager Nicole! She is a true gift and asset to this store! She went out of her way, above and beyond to save my Xmas eve dinner! She was polite, understanding and very professional. They have my business as long as she is manager!

This Hannaford is a nice, small store. I find their layout of deli/seafood odd. The two departments should be separate not adjoining, especially since deli meat is prepared, ready to eat, besides the rotisserie chickens and seafood is raw and can contaminate the ready to eat. Their bakery is tiny, but serves the purpose with tasty muffins and gourmet cinnamon buns with cream cheese. Their aisles are small, but it’s not market basket, it’s a smaller hannaford serving the community with basics. Their frozen sections are well stocked as are the grocery aisles and meat case. Their cashier, Laurie, was very friendly and processed my order quickly and without fault. The other cashiers and baggers were simply chit chatting and doing not much of anything else.

I am not a big fan of this Hannaford supermarket. I have never been to any other Hannaford before. The staff here does an ok job, but the store is small. I feel a little cramped inside because the aisles seem narrow. They do not seem to have as much produce as other stores, they do not carry a lot of organic food, and the parking lot is small. The lanes in the parking lot are painted as to be one way, each one alternating the direction, but people do not seem to pay any attention to that. I normally stop by if I know what i want and it is 1 or two items. Their prices are sometimes lower than other stores but the Unilocal description of my rating sums it up: Meh. I’ve experienced better.(and nearby for about the same price.)

We shop at the Hannafords in Clinton very regularly. Always a great selection and very fresh produce and meats. I had an especially great experience today with a young cashier named Patrick. I had my 2yo and 4yo daughters with me, and only two items to ring up. My 4yo handed the items to him, and he proceeded to pack them in a small paper bag and very kindly interacted with her while handing her the bag to carry. She was elated. This is the kind of service that really sets a store like this apart.

My favorite Hannaford and grocery store in the area, the best of a Whole Foods and a Market Basket, where I can find a 33 cent can of tomato paste in one aisle, a full display of Goya products in another and top quality organic products in the next. Freshest meat, bakery and produce too.

This Hannafords is OK. They have a few things that set them apart from the other grocery stores in town. 1. Better Prepared Foods Section 2. Many lanes open for easy checkout 3. Double-Carts(I mean the type of cart you can fit two misbehaving children in, as opposed to just one. This is important to people like me who have very small kids, but still need to eat. Two points if the cart is shaped like a firetruck or has other distractions to keep them busy.) So that’s pretty much my only reason for going to Hannafords. The Double Carts… Shaws doesn’t have those, however they have a much wider selection of groceries and are open later.
