The food at Newk’s is pretty decent. The Newks-Q sandwich is a tasty chicken sandwich with a white BBQ sauce. My kids enjoy the pizzas, but I wouldn’t come to Newk’s as a pizza destination. The salads are fresh and well made as are most of the desserts. On my last trip, I noticed they have some delicious looking whoopie pies in the dessert case. That’s next on my list to try. The soups are good and are rotated on a daily basis. I wish I could give an extra ½ star for the free help-yourself table of breadsticks, peppers, and roasted garlic cloves. You could just about make a meal from that table alone.

Pretty good Newks location. I frequent this location often. Always fast service and nice servers. Even when they have gotten my order wrong they have been receptive and quick to fix any mistake. Newks food is more about convenience and quickness. I do love the sandwiches, which are always warm and toasty. The salads are usually too drenched with dressing so I ask for it on the side. All in all, not a bad place to eat for a quick, filling, and cheaper lunch. I’ve been coming here for years and will keep coming.

Everytime I go here the food is great and I honestly regret eating Subway today at all. The staff is usually very helpful although I have picked up on tension between employees before and it was awkward. I also wish that they fixed my sandwich the same way consistently. The condiments seem to vary(even if I specify) but it’s usually not a huge deal. I love this place!

It was 8:30 pm late for a meal. We opted for a 10″ sausage & pepperoni pizza to go. Total time from ordering to getting our pizza to go was 6 minutes. Great crust, super sauce and tasty toppings! We were traveling through the area, when we see a Newk’s we will stop again.

First time here. The sever greeted us and took our drink order promptly. He was very polite. He came back to take our order very quickly, which was nice, but I felt a little rushed since it was our first time there and I wanted to look over the menu. The shrimp poboy was fine. Ethan ordered the saints chicken/shrimp it was a little over priced in my opinion, and it was mediocre at best. We would eat here again… I’d like to try some of the other items on the menu.

Look, around Clinton there’s not much to eat out and very few places to really go enjoy a quality, fresh meal. Newk’s is one of those places. I LOVE their broccoli n’ cheese soup, so much that every Thursday they serve it, me and my roomie make a point to come here and specifically have it. It’s creamy, heavy and delicious. The chili chicken pizza is quite delicious but spicy, not your typical pizza. The pesto sandwich is very good, although it can get quite bready. Another favorite of mine is the chicken Caesar salad, huge portions of chicken and greens. One tip for the salad, is get the dressing on the side, they give way too much. I love the sweet tea here, and they have a nice selection of unsweetened, Splenda, and sweetened. The cakes looks horrible and honestly I don’t think anyone buys those things. They sit in a glass container near the cashier and I don’t think they’ve ever changed them out. Gross!

I like Newk’s. I don’t love it. It’s a chain. I have nothing against chains. I ate most recently last Friday, January 4, 2013. I had the tomato basil soup. Now, I loved that soup. It was absolutely fantastic and I could have made a meal just out of the soup. I also like the roasted garlic and bread sticks as well as the Splenda sweet tea. However, most of what I’ve gotten at Newks is just ok. However, I have gotten soup that if not eaten quickly enough, turns very watery and I find that off putting and frankly weird.

Don’t get the lobster crab bisque. I found the 2 times I’ve eaten here less than satisfying. The food is not that great. I found myself saying ehh. I’ve been to the newks in Brandon and byram. I won’t come back.

I love coming here. My wife and I usually get the half sandwich and bowl of soup deal. The service has always been good, and the food fresh and fast.

What a great lunch! Best looking, and largest, salad I have ever seen. The pizzas were great too. Wish we had a Newk’s in NC!

This is the preferred sandwich shop around town. More extensive menu, cleaner and generally better service than McAlister’s.

I would have rated this place 5 stars if it were professionally managed. The salad and soup were very good. The décor is very nice, also a good setup with a separate sink outside the bathroom. We had the soup and salad combination. My wife ordered the Caesar Salad with Lobster and Crab Bisque, I had the Simply Salad with Black Bean Soup. Both were very good. The entire bill was around $ 15. No tip and we drank water. We dined on a Sunday evening between 5&5:30. I counted at least 8 people working. I would have really liked this place if they had done just a couple of things different. Friendly-A greeting and welcome with a smile. The male cashier was polite, but not overly friendly. While were seated and eating, no one came by and asked how the food tasted. I would have loved to tell them how good it tasted. When we left I don’t think anyone noticed. How about, «thank you, hope to see you again». Cleanliness-There was one big table that needed cleaning when we arrived, and it was only getting cleared at the time we left. Meanwhile several other customers had left and none of those tables were cleaned. We also noticed the table next to ours had been cleared, but still had food crumbs on it. I could accept all the above if the place was busy. It wasn’t. There were only 4 – 8 tables occupied the entire time we were there. Lot’s of employees standing around. One girl came out to clean the tables, meanwhile there were seven people milling aroundthe back. I hope this place is around in a year, I really liked the food. IMO they need a change in management and attitude.

Newk’s, where has your relish bar been all my life? Oh, how I love your large black plastic cups, bread and butter pickles, croutons, and gherkins. Your sweet tea keeps me coming back for more. The Newk’s Favorite Salad was more than I could bear(or finish). Seriously, this place is great for groups, or separate ticket parties. The relish bar could be a meal in itself. They make their croutons in house. This place has something for everyone, including Mediterranean and American goodies.
