Love this place as a rule but wasn’t so thrilled last night… Be careful if you’re on a restricted diet! I’m a pescatarian, meaning I eat fish, eggs and dairy but no meat or poultry. I ordered a shrimp appetizer, described as shrimp dipped in batter and fried. Took one bite — oh there’s pork in there too! WHY would they not offer that info on the menu? And I’ve had it plenty of times before, always no pork. And not even an apology from the staff? I didn’t make a big deal of it but still… Thats not right.

I love coming here. It’s a relaxed atmosphere and the specials are always unique. I have necer been disappointed by by a meal here. The pineapple fried rice and pad thai are excellent and I love the sauce served with the fried calamari.

Good Thai food in a casual setting. They have outdoor seating in a covered walkway that is really nice in mild weather, although close to a road, so sit back from it if you can. Indoors is dark and tranquil. Good appetizers, good meals. Service is good. It’s a little pricey, but the food is consistent always satisfies.

We decided to give Pru Thai another try as I am pregnant and really really wanted crying tiger :) let me just say we were not disappointed! The place was packed but they still sat us right away which was nice. We got crying tiger and lard nar and both the portions were generous and the food was delicious. The steak in the crying tiger was flavorful and really tender and the sauce with it is so good. The lard nar had a mild, rich brown gravy and the chicken was cooked perfect. Really happy we went again.

My boyfriend and I ate here last night and LOVED it. He thought it was even better than my favorite Thai restaurant from where we previously lived in central jersey. We got the pru Thai combo appetizer to try out everything and omg the steamed dumplings and rocket shrimp were so incredibly delicious. The chicken and shrimp skewers were nicely seasoned too. I had the ginger chicken dish and thought it was incredibly good too. Definitely will be back to try out some more things!!!

Just the other day my wife and I had a late lunch. We found this restaurant through Unilocal because we were in town on some business and we wanted to have Thai food. We had some ginger tea to drink, however, you could not tell it was ginger flavored, more like Hot Water. Our appetizers, curry puff and pork tom yum. The Tom Yum was a bit sour and not much flavor. The curry puff was a bit bland, could have had some more flavor. Drunken noodles with chicken was my meal and my wife had Ginger with pork at level 3 spicy. The drunken noodles were just ok, not a lot of flavor, the dish was supposed to be spicy however it had no hint of spice at all. Thai food is all about the combination of flavors in the food, sweet, sour and spicy. My meal really didn’t have any of these. My wife’s dish came out with an acceptable flavor. She enjoys a meal with lots of spice and maybe because they noticed my wife is Thai… They might have poured on extra spice. The decorations in the restaurant look cheap and the service does not impress us at all … To visit this place again … will never be in our plans.

This is the third time I’ve been to Pru Thai. The previous two times I came away thinking the food was OK. This time, I thought the food was awful. I order pad thai shrimp. I get this often in New York at street carts and expected it to be better, because it was about 50% more expensive. It was not. It was extremely bland and even after putting peanut sauce and soy sauce on it, it was still bland. I couldn’t finish it. The dish my wife ordered was so bad she could even eat it. I told the waiter she really didn’t like it and they were kind enough to have it removed from the order. This was my last visit to Pru Thai.

Great food and service(and I’m thai)! The atmosphere is very simple, yet romantic and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They explained the ingredients as well as the dish to my coworkers and they all loved the food! I will definitely be back whenever I visit Clinton, NJ! Did I mention that they also have byob?

I was there on a Tuesday night and it was really busy. I recommend a reservation. The green curry with chicken was awesome. I could have eaten two portions, so good! Real 5 Stars!

I love Thai food and I’ve tried several times since this Resturant is so convenient. Over the last few years I have tried take-out many times. Parking can be difficult. Tonight I just got home from ordering take-out and was once again very disappointed. I ordered curry chicken and paid $ 14.98. I’m attaching a picture to show what I got in the order. Very small portions. Potatoes were undercooked.

Got the drunken noodles w/chicken for lunch. To me, best seasoning of Thai Food. The food was not heavy or too greasy. My only complaint… The portion was too small.

Worst food for the dollar. Had coconut soup Horrible. This is the third time I’ve eaten there I guess I’m giving up. I’ll travel to the bamboo house in Frenchtown instead

Having dined at many Thai restaurants, this one has to have the worst food and customer service. No curries!!! Really? is this a Thai restaurant or Chinese food! No summer rolls. Portions of food are appetizer size. McDonalds would have been more fulfilling and cheaper

Uninspiring décor and sluggish service made for a meh outing. The food was fine, nothing exceptional, but the experience would have been so much better if the staff didn’t have an air of being inconvenienced by the room full of paying customers. They weren’t that busy and certainly didn’t seem overworked. Servers were often seen loitering over by the kitchen entrance. During the drawn-out wait between soup and entrée, I even thought about just walking out and going someplace where the staff would be happy to see us and we’d be well taken care of.

I love Pad Thai. This place offers nice outdoor ambience, quick & friendly take-out service, and, most importantly, yummy Pad Thai! Would hope to see Pad See Ew in the meal menu though. Also, not their fault, but parking can be a pain at times. Haven’t tried the other dishes yet, but also, if you like spicy, I suggest adding your own sauces. Their own concoction is spicy enough, but doesn’t taste 100% authentic.

If you like curry puffs or ginger dressing salad or dumplings that just came off a truck – this place is 5 stars. If you want Thai food – go to Shop Rite – I’m sure they have something better in a can. When I asked for a sauce to be less sweet than the previous time I had it there, I was told it came that way, like they mean in a package. No beer in a Thai restaurant in a tourist trap like Clinton? Ugh. Airlift these people some food, no most of them have the money to airlift themselves to a decent eating spot. One of the workers was so exhausted from a shift that probably was more than a double he was sleeping in the empty dining area. Close down sweat shops posing as restaurants.

Walk in on a Sunday for the first time with my girlfriends, there appears to be an event so we inquire if dining here is buffet style only and the host/server says«no so I guess you’re not here with charity?» with an attitude. We had just gone to a wine tasting so we asked also if it were BYOB and the server said«yeah». We were seated and the waitress accidentally spilled our water, on h own accord. Then our server/hostess comes with the waters and I ask if we can also have glasses for our wine and she snaps and says«um can you wait a second.» with an attitude and then when she noticed my friends and I noticed her rudeness she continued, «I know, I’m a pain» We took our wine and left down the street to Neo sushi. If you can tolerate rudeness certainly go ahead and eat here. I work in HR the hospitality industry in NYC and I’d expect small town service to be more courteous. Advise for Pru Thai– even if the customer is annoying, which I wasn’t, I simply stated a request– you don’t lose for cool. Granted we were a group of 25 year olds celebrating an engagement of our friend but we weren’t rude and barely sat for 5 minutes before the rude hostess snapped at us. The customer is always right, saying«I know I’m a pain» doesn’t make the situation light… Sorry not worth it!!!

While the food is delicious, the attention to detail and service here is horrible. It’s unfortunate that this is the only Thai place near my office because we get takeout here fairly frequently. Twice now, however, they have neglected items in the order but charged for them. Once, they did not sauce or provide any on the side for an entrée. When you call to report the error, they won’t bring you the missing items or refund the card. They will offer a credit the next visit, but it’s not remembered. When you go back to get the item, it’s argued. I was told I didn’t order the item even though it was on my receipt I presented. Again, tasty food. Perhaps dine in only though and skip the take out…

Came here to eat with two of my best friends, a special evening because one was visiting from Denver. We needed a spot to meet half way between Princeton and Easton, and we three live Thai. I read several reviews and decided to give this location a shot. Once again, devoted Unilocalers led me to a great location. Our dishes were fantastic and the ambiance was just perfect for an evening out. Service was also very on par. I was pleased overall. The only thing I might suggest is to expect a distinct lemon flavor in their soup. I usually expect a bit of lemon flavor added to the coconut milk, which is always such a surprisingly great pairing. But this soup was definitely more lemon than coconut and I was simply not able to finish it. Other than that one disappointing dish, we were all pleased and left quite full of rich food and conversation. This location is a gem in an adorable and romantic little historic mill town.

This place was a hidden Treasure. We were passing thru this town and Unilocaled restaurants in this location and found this. I was looking for photos of the food but it only had 2 and similar for reviews so I had to just come and experience the food for myself. It’s a quaint small restaurant that kinda sat in a small walk way between buildings. The highlight for me was the CRYINGTIGER. the meat was so tender and grilled to perfection. It tasted like the meat was marinated for days. The menu had a list of food items that can be made hotter(1 – 3 levels) so I had mines done on level 2. which was very spicy but very worth it. If going for lunch, start with the combo just to get the taste buds excited for more.
