Great portions sizes, very warm and friendly staff. Hot capicola was excellent. Definitley hit a spot since I couldn’t find anything similar at home.

This is def in my top 3 delis on the ct shoreline. I usually go here when I don’t like my usual chicken cutlet. This place makes the BEST Italian deli meat sandwiches. It’s also kind of a butcher shop so you can purchase amazing meats at a decent price. This place is the place if your looking for some fresh Italian lunch food. I always get the«godfather». Love that sand which.

I went here intending to get a couple sandwiches or meat/cheese to take home, but ended up getting a couple servings of their prepared meals to take home for dinner. The scalloped potatoes were great and the sausage and peppers were good. The italian bread was only«meh» and tiramisu was excellent. All in all, I was pleased with my first visit and look forward to going back to further explore their menu.

Yummy! I come here for a roast beef sandwich every once and a while when I’m craving it and it sure does hit the spot! Their roast beef is delicious and juicy. My boyfriend always gets the liverwurst which he says is great as well. You don’t come to this place for the atmosphere, you come for the food. It’s a great spot to pick up some lunch for sure.

Solid sandwich shop. I think they try to be a NY style deli but anyone from NY will realize right away it’s just a good place to get a sandwich. I got a sub that was 10 bucks, basically 2 meals. It is certainly run down and not particularly clean but for the most part that is exactly what it should be.

(Maybe 4.5) Straightforward sub and deli shop here. No frills, leave that at the door. We ordered 3 subs. The Godfather and 2 Chicken and Eggplant combo. The GF was tasty but lacked the oil and vinegar mentioned on menu. No bad. Again, tasty anyway. Chick and Egg parms were great.(We should have heated them though, prior to eating them for dinner). Can’t wait to taste the other subs and soups while in Clinton.

Not much atmosphere here, but the subs are awesome. If you’re looking for an Italian shop, this is it(from my Italian travel buddy). They give you lots of meat! Willing to substitute however you like it. The owner made our sandwiches, seems like a nice guy. Love to give my money to small businesses like this. Definitely will come back when I’m back in town!

First impression was that the place looks pretty run down… like they threw together some meat cases, shelving, etc. into an old store front and opened for business the next day. This is the type of place that you might expect a great sandwich if they put the money into the food vs the store front… but I did not find this to be the case. I paid $ 8.00 for an Italian Combo that had me looking for the meat… although it tasted pretty good… hence the two star rating. I think this place may have changed ownership since I was last in a year or two ago. It probably survives since there is not much competition in the immediate area. Would I go back? Yea… but only if I was in the area… would not seek it out.

well I haven’t been in a long time and I got a spinach avocado panini. Terrible. Just terrible. Maybe 5 leaves of spinach, one slice of cheese, some guacamole(not fresh avocado) and very garlicky aioli. It was not very good and not very much of a sandwich at all for kind of an expensive price. I don’t think I will be going back.

Overlooked dry roast beef sandwich and a bad attitude from the staff I’m taking back my previous review due to inconsistent quality and poor service.

Take out sandwich and deli place. Subs are great. I’ve eaten here several times over 10 years ago when I used to live on the shoreline, and now again after all these years after moving back to CT. Food is still good, and place is still open with happy customers, which says a lot in my opinion. Not much more to review other than if you’re in the mood for a good sub, this is a good place on the shoreline to check out.

Pretty good and pretty versatile place. Breakfast menu, lunch menu, sandwich menu, pizza menu, catering menu, quick cuisine to go menu. A butcher shop, cheese shop, a soup bar, and a bakery too. Two tiny tables for dining in. We had lunch there today after a visit to Clinton Crossing — We had a corn chowder and a chicken soup from the soup bar, a chicken parm sandwich, a ham and cheese sandwich, a Sinatra sandwich, and a Foxon Park soda for $ 33.49. The soups were excellent, the sandwiches(on a hard roll instead of a grinder) were overstuffed, the soda was very good, and the service was fast and very friendly. The SInatra was one of their three specialty sandwiches and it included Genoa Salami, Hot Cappicola, Sopressata, Fresh Mozzarella, Roasted Red Peppers. Yes it was great — and at $ 7.95 there was enough to take home half. I can see this being a real popular place for locals, summer tourists, and shoppers. I only wish they had some pre-packaged entrees to go(like I see at the Pajer Superette in Agawam). All in all –this place is soilid…

Fantastic food quality, a little pricey. I’d recommend the chicken parm for days.

As I took my first bite into an Italian sub, I couldn’t help but wonder — Why didn’t I think of Unilocaling for a bite all those times Ive been at the Clinton outlets!!! Only around 3 miles away from the outlet malls, excellent way to end the shopping or begin the shopping. Very friendly and pleasant staff, fresh meat. Not to mention about the cheese. Perfect sandwich!

After new new owners took over last year this place rocks! The soup is home made & awesome(I like it better than the Cooking Company in Killingworth) — they eggplant is nice & thinly sliced — yummie! …and the cake… I’ve not tasted a better carrot cake(and I’m a sweets lover).

When it was owend by Andy Saldamarco, this place was the best. Huge grinders for $ 6, and the meat was always fresh and of the highest quality. Now, this place is a dump. They are trying to do a little bit of everything and spreading themselves way too thin. The pizza is blah, and the meat is no longer top notch. The customer service is abismal now, and it is a shame. Andy used to support the community by giving away food to various causes, and now your lucky if you can get a decent sammich for $ 8. Very sad.

The best meatball subs around… a fantastic place with good quality meats… i love this place. I just wish their hours were a little more regular. A good place to get pasta salads, eggplant parm, etc…
