Pain management warmth on a cold day. Relaxing if you are squeamish about sharing sauna! I went in with a groupon, looking for a little quiet and sweat. I don’t sweat. I didn’t sweat much during the «human roasting» session. So, here goes the Fit Wrap deal:
1. They claim it helps «detox» (you don’t detox by sweating…)
2. They claim you lose weight (its water, you are supposed to sweat. Did I mention I don’t sweat?)
3. They claim you burn fat… riiiiigggghhhhttt…
4. But I’m squeamish in saunas, but I did want the skin cleansing quiet of a sauna, so I subjected myself to self poaching. Seriously. If you are a fan of food network or cooking channel or one of many food shows, you may say you are in some sort of sous vite… You strip down and get into a plastic «onesie». You cocoon yourself in an infrared heating pad, with «heating zones», and you can choose your roasting temperature, ranging from 120 – 130 degrees. yep, as in 120 – 130 degrees (feeling like a pop tart yet?). Butt naked in your plastic pj, you crawl in, adjust your temp, leave your head out, and read a magazine, get on your phone or just pass out. Hydrate before you get in, and don’t go on the day after a high octane evening… Bring extra water bottle.
Veredict — was I slimmer? (BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!!), did I lose inches? (DOUBLE BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHHAHA!!!). However, on a cold day, taking a snooze in a hot cocoon has some mental relaxation benefits — and my lower back pain and arthritic pain really got a soothing chance in the heat — worth the experiment.
The salon is in Clinton… not known for its «chic», so this tanning and hair /​nail salon in a tiny strip mall, is quite a surprise when you walk in the door. Staff is nice, the place is clean. I have two more left… Shakenbake baby! Winter shakenbake my bones!

I had a groupon for a full foil, cut and conditioning treatment and was thrilled with the results. Some salons may try to cut corners when they learn a person has a groupon but Staci was amazing. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I can’t wait to go back.

I am not a faithful person to consistently get my hair cut. However, I made am appointment here and had Jess who cut my hair. Needless to say she did such a great job I am going back for my second appointment within seven weeks. She was insanely nice and made me feel so comfortable as well as doing my hair better than I imagined it to be.
They also offer manicures and pedicures. The gel manicures are awesome and last for a minimum of two weeks. They have a great color selection and Danielle who usually does my manicures does an awesome job. I love Xtreme and recommend it to anyone thinking of trying them.
