Wow, that last review was pretty harsh! I think this is a great little place to go for a change of pace. We paid $ 15 a ticket to get through the gate, which granted us access to all of the general admission grandstands(90% of the seating is general admission). We were there this past Saturday for a regular night of racing and had a good time. They have typical venue foods like hot dogs & hamburgers(I know hot dogs are $ 2.50, which I feel is FAR from gouging if you’ve ever been to the Palace of Auburn Hills or Spartan Stadium). A 16oz draft beer is $ 3(heck yeah!) and they do Happy Hour from 5 – 7PM where 10oz drafts are $ 1. Make sure to check out their website for information before you go. Some people may be upset you can smoke in some of the grandstands, so just don’t sit in that area. The place isn’t very large, you aren’t going to MIS so don’t expect that much of the place. Its just a fun way to have a cheap evening.

We were charged $ 20/person for a «Maximum Destruction» derby that wasn’t worth the money spent. The best part was the boat races(boats chained to the cars and barrels of water on the track). The figure 8’s were a dissappointment since the cars/buses all braked and would wait for other cars to go. We decided it should have been named«MINIMAL destruction» for lack of contact between the cars. Be ready to roast in the sun if you’re there during the day! Bring an umbrella or something since there is NO place to escape the sun. Seating is scary old wooden bleachers. Best place to sit for back support is the very top of the bleachers against the chain wall. You’d think for charging $ 20/person they could invest SOME money into the grounds. Food was typical of a racetrack. Drinks had poor choices, offbrand pop and Arizona tea marked insanely high.
