Amazing food, great atmosphere, friendly staff. And bread, words cannot do that bread justice.

Generally I really like this restaurant but have noticed the food quality going down hill. This week was a great example. Went there for lunch. There were 5 of us and only 1 liked their food(the fish & chips). 2 ordered the triple decker grilled cheese, and were very disappointed as they were almost all bread and barely any cheese. Another ordered the steak sandwich which was a very poor cut of meat, tough and gristly, and improperly cooked(ordered medium and it was well). Lastly I ordered the fish sandwich which was on special. It comes with cheese which wasn’t even melted and the bun had grill marks but was cold and dry. On a positive note, the potato soup was good as usual and the bread on the table is always very good. And our server(her name on our receipt was«Stevens» assuming that is her last name) was very good and friendly.

Went here tonight and the wait was almost an hour but the staff kept up very well. The food was definitely worth waiting for! Best steak I have ever had. They did forget my potato but were quick to get it to me. I was quite impressed with the service. I would recommend this place for sure but would recommend you make reservations first.

Had an awesome meal here a few days ago. Great food and wonderful service from the bread on through to the main dish. Hope to make it back before we leave the area.

The whole experience was excellent! The bread and butter to start off with was awesome! We ordered everything from chicken fingers to steak to prime rib. Excellent! Beer was cold and prices were reasonable! Asparagus was a little under cooked but eatable. We will definitely stop here again when traveling through Michigan!

Good steak house. Staff was nice and friendly. Steaks were good. Not the best I’ve ever had but as good as i expected from an average steakhouse. It’s no Mortons but i had no expectations that it would be. The steaks were seasoned, which i personally don’t care for but they were seasoned well. I had the au gratin potatoes and literally had to drain the butter off of them which was a shame because the had the potential to be very good. Lots of locals getting take out so that says a lot. Several large parties too. That tells me locals like it. I’d go back if i was ever in town but I’d steer clear of the au gratin potatoes and aak them not to butter the bread they bring to the table. It was also dripping in butter.

Our family absolutely loves Lucky’s! I usually go with the Lucky’s salad or the filet medallions — both are phenomenal! Also, the bread you get before the meal tastes fantastic and we always get great service!

I have been coming to this Lucky’s for many years. I have never had a bad meal. You know it’s good when there is always a line/wait every night. Burgers are always juicy and steaks cooked to perfection. Fish is pretty amazing too.

Luckys needs to put in their menu that the ribeye is not ribeye… its a sirloin steak. Which is alot tougher and no marbling. Ate it last night and it was awful. Love Luckys but that is miss representation of what your serving. Shame on you. Beware of their scam. 90% of people will not know what it is. Just have to eat porterhouse. you cant miss represent that.

This is my favorite place to eat in the area for sure. My fiancé and I come here for special occasions such as date night! Seriously great food, most weekend the wait is kinda long but totally worth it! Frequent this dope place!

Luckys has a good ‘steakhouse menu’. Food is consistently prepared well, steaks are great, I love the chicken… and their Luckys salad is awesome! Service is typically good as well. I prefer to go during lunch time because at dinner ESPECIALLY on weekends you’re guaranteed a wait.

Saturday lunch for our daughters birthday. The restaurant was full. Ordered Rib eye medium well. Overcooked burnt well done server Our server never made it back within 10 minutes of delivery. Never inquired if anything else was needed or if everything was OK. With the exception of great bread the meal and service was terrible. Note no front of the house manager on the floor.

Went here with the family and arrived when they opened at noon. We were seated at a booth that had a dirty table. The silverware was wrapped in linen napkins and found two out of four sets had dirty silverware. Should have known better but the restaurant quickly filled up so we stayed to try the food. My wife ordered the salmon with broccoli and sons had a burger and a the fish sandwich. We were started with two large loaves of seasoned warm bread and butter. When the food came my wife’s salmon was great. Nicely presented and not overdone. The fish sandwich was two large pieces of fish served on a toasted roll. The burger was standard and both sandwiches were served with steak fries. This restaurant would have received 4 stars but the dirty table and silverware brought it down a star. Trust.

Ok decided to take all the special men in my family out to dinner at Lucky’s in Clio. Ok first of all they don’t take reservations and I don’t understand why not. So we finally got there about 4pm and there was a boat load of people waiting. So I checked in and the anticipated wait was 45min.-1hr. The wait wouldn’t have been that bad, being where we were, except there was only a hand full of seats for people to sit and wait. The rest of the families were standing the whole time… inside and outside of the restaturant! The ambience in there was too dark. seemed like it was for romantic couples and not for groups of families. Their were a couple of 22″ T. V’s spread throughout the place but it could have used more so everyone was able to see at least one of the T.V.‘s. So after 1 hour and 15 min. my family was called for seating. First of all, our waiter never introduced himself… cool points lost here. Second he brought out the wrong drinks for half of the table… cool pts. lost here as well… At this point I’m thinking ok he’s new and nervous. So we ordered appetizers and dinner. Refills were requested and he never brought out 2 of the drinks even after he came back to the table after forgetting other things like dressing for two salads and silverware.(Just to let you know we only had a table for 7 people)…cool points lost here toooo! Still, I don’t understand. Soups, salads, and appetizers were brought out in 30. min… I didn’t understand the long wait on this either but enjoyed this part of dinner. The nice thing that the waiter did was try to satisfy my daughter in ordering something else because she didn’t like her cheesey potato soup due to being a picky eater(because I tasted the soup and it was good)…some cool points gained back now… lol. So dinner finally arrived and everyone loved what they ordered EXCEPT my daughter. no surprise there! 16oz. Aged Prime rib, 18oz. Big N. Y Strip, were a big hit with the men! They complimented the steaks being just right with flavor & texture.(The only hiccup was their was lots of fat in the N. Y strip… Hmmm how was that possible, BUT the person eating the steak didn’t complain to the waiter so How could I if I wasn’t eating it? What else can I say, If They like it I love it!!). My son tackled the Jr. Sirloin with Fries from the kids meal… he’s a picky eater also but ate half of it without a word.(lol…just a note, he was already full from Fresh hot seasoned buttered bread, salad and lemonade). Now it was time to go, we all talked and laughed to pass by the time… our waiter hadn’t checked on us in about 30 hour. 15 more min went by & still no waiter. I had to get up and go get to-go boxes and the check. I picked up the bill and a family member left the tip… I don’t know how much they left him But I’m assuming it was the bare minimum amount. The waiter did make our experience kind of bad but the taste of the food made up for his mistakes… So I’ll give a try again someday! Just sad it wasn’t a better experience for everyone in the family :(.

The food here is among the best in Genesee County. Fantastic fresh bread, the wedge salad with killer bacon chunks is fantastic. Every steak, every time has come out medium-rare like I like it.

I almost hate to write this review because I don’t want to give up our secrets… but, the story needs to be told! Lucky’s does almost nothing fresh, it’s true. The fish, chicken, appetizers… all frozen. The chicken dishes in particular are overly-doused with salty sauce… truly disappointing. They do well with a steak however. Like other reviewers have said, the girls at the front desk aren’t people pleasers, and the service in the dining room(which is always packed) is hit-and-miss. So why the 5-star review? The BAR. Yes, the bar. No, they don’t carry craft beer, but those bartenders can make an excellent martini or manhattan, and you can order food there as well. I don’t know why, but it’s not quite the same at the tables around the bar… you have to sit directly at the bar. It has plenty of seating. Stick to menu items like the wedge salad(brilliant) and a steak or soup. The appetizers are good too, but just know that you’re not getting anything that you couldn’t buy at Gordon’s(perfect bar food). Whatever you do, do not… I repeat… do not sit in the dining room. First of all, the layout is uncomfortable. The tables are all too close together, there’s never a booth available, and the service is not consistent. Maybe this is mental… but I think the food is not as good in the dining room either. Maybe they’re letting it sit too long? I don’t know. Just, wait for a seat at the bar, or even a high top table, and you’ll be shocked at the difference.
