I wanted to like this place. I noticed on their Facebook page that stylists offer lots of specials, like a cut, color, highlights and eyebrow wax for $ 50. Being from the metro Detroit area where a haircut alone costs $ 50, I thought wow, what a great deal, I’ll get my hair done. I have very thick and heavy hair and I asked the stylist to give me some layers and just lighten things up. We decided on some highlights. The haircut looked okay at first, I was okay with it when I left. However, my layers started to look weird. They were uneven and just didn’t look right. My hair was poofy. It wasn’t a good look. The highlights were barely noticeable. Not worth the $ 50 plus tip.
Like 6 months later I decide I want my hair cut. Being as this is one of the only places in town, I decide to give them another chance and just try another stylist. The girl who cut my hair was a very nice girl. I requested the same thing and my cut this time was better than the one I got the previous time but it wasn’t a ‘wow’ haircut.
The thing that really bothers me is how unprofessional some of the other stylists were. The stylists were chatting with each other the entire time. I’m sorry but if you are cutting my hair I don’t really want to hear about what movie you guys are going to see later that night.
I guess I’ll still be driving an hour to Novi when I want to get a quality haircut and color.

I love this salon. I also use Ashley and she did a wonderful job on my hair. Everyone is happy and carefree, really nice people.
Everything is racing, hence the name Octane. Its really neat how they incorperated all the racing, but yet, its tactfully done.
You can get everything done here, from nails massages waxings and of course hair (from crazy to sleek.)
I have been going here for a couple of yrs and I have always been happy and excited to go.

Unique atmosphere by a racing family. Spa services from massage to nails to hair. Ashley does a great job here. Reasonable prices.
