I’ve been a member on and off for the better of 4 years and I always recommend the gym and have plenty of people sign up. Usually the gym is kept up to date and always clean as can be. I’ve never had problems with the staff until I was with my friend on a Tuesday the 9th of February between the hours of 7 – 10 and the station was playing abnormally loud and only R&B rap music. My friend genuinely found this to be bothersome so she went up to the desk and politely asked for them to change it and or lower it and they gave her a blank look with confusion and with a bit of attitude. As they finally agreed to change if after a couple moments of awkwardness they went to change the station only to toggle through a few and put yet another all rap station on. As if that wasn’t annoying enough, they then proceeded to talk amongst over coworkers and point and stare as to bring up the issue at hand. As if we didn’t feel bad enough already for asking them to do us a favor. Never have had trouble with staff and I hope this issue was a one time occurrence.

I really like this gym a lot because it is close to home and has the equipment that I need. However, it is very expensive and the price is not justified. The gym is messy — clients think it is alright to leave their garbage all over the gym and they do not put anything back where it belongs. I think that if management needs to step up so that clients respect the place. Otherwise. it is a pretty good gym.

Help has arrived. New Machines everywhere. All treadmills were replaced with new Life Fitness machines. The classes are good and the trainers well qualified. Matt is the Man! The ability to have someone watch the kids really helps.

Current management of the facility not investing in building, people, equipment. Have been a member for 20 years… sliding downhill… Strike Zone EXCELLENT… rest of the place needs help. People are very nice but management has no vision or interest in keeping facility up to date.

My experience at CORE is based on a Groupon purchased for 5 personal training sessions. Redeeming the Groupon was quick and painless and did not require the purchase of a membership. My information was given to one of the trainers there, Adrian, and he promptly followed up with me to set up our first session. We started with a quick review of what results I was looking for, and a small amount of standard paperwork. The facility is clean, with a wide variety of workout machines. All of my sessions took place in the evening, and even though parking was a little limited, I had no problems waiting to use any of the machines. The crowd is younger, college-age, as they offer a membership deal for students, but that didn’t bother me as I was there to workout and go home. They have a juice bar for your post-workout needs as well as a Kid Zone providing child care while you workout. The price of a membership, non-student, is a little steep compared to other gyms in the area, so for that and the limited parking lot, I’ve deducted a star. But if you can devote more time to the gym than I can, the price might be worth it for you. All in all, I was very pleased with my experience at CORE, and even more pleased with my results. I wanted to learn how to use the machines for my benefit, as well as learn how to tone my body, and Adrian really helped me achieve that while being professional and flexible to my schedule. I highly recommend Adrian as your choice in personal trainers should you need that extra push to get the results you want. In the words of Hanz & Franz, he will«pump you up!»

I just read the comment by Dave and felt I really needed to post my experience. I too was a long time member. I loved Jerry the yoga instructor and attended his classes frequently. I paid a monthly fee of $ 80. However I just saw a groupon stating the membership fee is $ 69… Hmm maybe it’s changed… Anyway I showed up to yoga class one Saturday morning and was told I had to pay for class. What? I was allowed to take the class without paying since I didn’t know but going forward it was $ 20 bucks a class. How would I know? No email no regular mail notification. There were 3 people in the class that day when there usually were 20+. I’m sure a lot of memberships were dropped as a result of this fee change without notification. I have met a couple of people in my new wonderful gym with the same story. So when I left the yoga class that Saturday I gave notice that I wanted to cancel my membership. I was told there is a 2 month notification policy in order to cancel. Really? Where was my 2 month notification? I would give negative stars if I could. There are a lot of gyms out there Dave. A lot of good gyms that are professionally run with lots of classes available with membership. I recommend to everyone reading this. Look elsewhere.

Great multi-faceted Gym. The facility is great, even when packed you do not feel crowded. They have a wide variety of classes as well. The cardio is ‘up-stairs’ and usually has a few spots open. They have a wide range of machines and a comprehensive free weight area. My only knock might be that the free weight area could have a little more space /depth than it does. Friendly staff, good training specials, and a protein café. Check them out!
