Yolala Yogurt

Sadly Yolala is out of business.
I’ve been going to yogomango in Norwood far too often and wanted to check out a new Asian froyo place. Sadly, after driving all the way to Yolala in high hopes, my dreams were shattered when I saw a «For Sale» sign in the window. I only wish that Unilocal would stop taunting me with the Yolala recommendations.
Hopefully other Unilocalers don’t make the same mistake I did! :)

Yummy ice cream and gelato.

Love this place. I stop by here every time I’m in the area. The worker behind the counter is so, so sweet. She’s always so welcoming and doesn’t mind giving us like 10 samples before we decide what we want. I love the Taro ice cream (gelato?)…it tastes just like Taro bubble tea except in an ice cream form. My boyfriend loves the Nutella one (also really good). Really recommend this to anyone around. Give it a try! Good flavors for a reasonable price :)

Very rarely does customer service stand out for me. But the lady behind the counter was incredibly friendly and proud of her product.
The gelato was good not great. I am giving 3 stars for the gelato 5 stars for the customer service. So it averages to 4. it’s worth going to

I highly recommend that you try this place, notwithstanding my 3 star rating.
My disappointment may be more to my preference for gelato in flavors that are more traditional (chocolate, mint chip, cookies and cream). Their flavors were more unusual for the gelaterias with which I’m familiar, and include lots of fruits, interesting flavors like taro and lychee and Asian flavors like red bean. I wound up with a cappuccino cookie, which was just okay.
It seems to be family-​run. The girl at the counter could not have been any nicer or more welcoming, and had a high level of knowledge about the products. She proudly proclaimed that they made all of the gelato personally… and allowed us to sample away! The store was spotless and comfortable, and prices were very reasonable.

I just LOVE this place! The prices are reasonable and they have a lychee flavored gelato that is to DIE for. I also had a lychee drink with chunks of lychee and it was a refreshing drink that you can’t really get anywhere else in closter.

I’ve only been here twice, but the gelato is very good! The staff is also very friendly and warm, making it a nice atmosphere to be in. Everyone is always smiling; I think I would be too if I could have this gelatto every day!

Tasty gelato in Closter — yes please! Friends and I stopped in on Sunday and were glad we did. The owner greeted us with free samples and we quickly decided on our flavors! Reasonably priced at $ 2.50 for one scoop or $ 3.50 for two!
