We were excited to see the coupon in the weekly circular about a bingo place in Clover, SC. We planned to go the following weekend. It was everything you’d expect from a bingo place: old, filthy, hot, smoke filled, and confusing to a newcomer. I appreciate that they at least served pretty decent concession food and that the people we dealt with were all very nice, though not really able to explain things well. If you’re expecting the nights games to be clearly labeled, forget it. Nothing is clear about any of it; it’s just flying by the seat of your pants. We spent hours there playing and waiting for the extra games and thought«wow– if these people can operate a bingo hall, we could do it 100 times better…» I just don’t understand why bingo always has to be in such a disorganized, run down building. Why can’t bingo players sit on comfy chairs and have decent air circulation? Why don’t bingo proprietors understand that more customers would return if it were a nicer place to spend their time in.
