Lily Nails & Spa

I moved to the area almost 2 years ago after living in Canada where BioGel is what I had been having done for 6 years. My job makes me BEYOND hard on my nails. They are constantly beat up on at work and at home I’m hard at work on our small farm. Needless to say, I can’t «baby» my hands. Koi has been doing my nails for 18 months now and he is amazing at what he does. My nails are their natural length with no tips ever, he does gel powder with Shelac on top and somehow, and I just don’t know HOW, they hold up every time. I travel a LOT for work and often have to go 3 – 4 weeks between fills, not ideal. I rarely break a nail and when I do it’s usually my fault. To be completely honest, I’m not a huge fan of letting anyone else do my nails because they just don’t hold up like they do when Koi does them. The shop is always clean and, as some one that’s been getting my nails done for about 25 years, I can say I’ve seen some shady stuff. I haven’t seen any of that at Lily. I’ve never had a pedicure done there as I do my own so I can’t speak for services beyond Koi’s work.

This place is horrible. I was wanting my nails done for my maternity pictures. I’ve gotten my nails done like this for the past 15 years with no problem. This was my first time at this salon and my nails turned yellow!!! I went back and the owner laughed at me and wanted to blame me. But I know it wasn’t my fault. They put cheap coating on my nails. He did fix my nails but the next day they turned yellow again. Highly dissatisfied!

I’ve been here three times. July 9, 2015 they did a great job on my nails and took there time. Dec 22, 2015 once again great job I had gotten designs on two of my fingers they looked good. I also got a pedi and it looked good. March 4, 2016 I had called to make an appointment I asked if they could do a design on each finger and she said it would be no problem. When I got there they started my nails first before asking to see the design. When I went to wash my hands one of the nails fell off down the middle. They fixed it. They asked what design I wanted and said they couldn’t do it because it had circles in it. It was a simple design that just needed a dotting tool and stripper. I said OK showed her 4 more designs that didn’t have any circles and she said she couldn’t do any of them. I ended up just getting a black tip with a sliver line under it on two fingers. After I left the salon I took a good look at my nails some are different sizes. Most have lines in them a couple of nails had bubbles on them and the sliver line on both nails are not even and choppy on my right hand it starts as a smaller line and ends up a bigger line on the other side. After this visit I will not go back.

I’ve never walked out of a place without paying before, if that begins to paint a picture of how horrible of an experience I had here. I used to come to this place all the time before the icolor nail bar opened, but as soon as it did I never came back. (the only reason I ended up here today was because icolor was booked with parties).
I went in for a gel manicure and everything was going along fine until she painted the color on 2 nails and I decided I didn’t like it. I had painted it on top of a dark color I had on when I came in, but without the dark base the new color was too light. so I went to pick a new color and I must’ve taken too long because by the time I went back to the station she said someone else was going to have to help me because she was going to start on someone else. the guy that was supposed to finish my nails had just started on someone else so it was going to be a while. I waited for a while but got more and more annoyed and decided I didn’t want to support such a rude business. I hope my leaving taught them a lesson about customer service. no wonder there was nobody in there and I’m back at icolor nail bar willing to wait for better customer service. from the looks of the way she was starting to do my nails I wouldn’t have been happy with that quality anyway, she wasn’t even getting close to the edges of my nails.

I have been going here for a while now just because they’re very close to where I live. So it’s convenient. But after visiting a different salon a couple of times, I have come to the realization that I’m getting mediocre results here.
Their color selection is pretty good, but not great. They seem to be very clean establishment, and everyone is very friendly and accommodating. You don’t get that everywhere.
But they’re not very careful about shaping the nails as meticulously as they could. I often come out with slightly misshapen nails. I don’t know, maybe I’m really picky. But when I do my own manicure, my nails are absolutely perfect. And who am I? Just a lowly citizen.
I think the thing that did it for me was a recent gel manicure. The technician applied three thick coats of color and to thick topcoats. This results in a very uneven and slightly wavy surface, not to mention a very thick nail.
By contrast the other salon I went to recently did an amazing gel nail for me. Extremely clean and very meticulous about shaping the nail. Also, he applied two very thin layers of the gel polish and one topcoat. There was no overflow up on trying. They were absolutely perfect and just as tough as having had five coats applied.

They asked me to upgrade the pedicure services that I wanted to. They offered me one for $ 40 that was supposed to last 40 minutes. They were done with me 20 minutes later. Way too expensive for what they do. First time here and it will be the last one. Even though the lady was nice
