I am only in clover for two reasons and they both live under the same roof. My pseudo grandparents. These folks would dominate Unilocal b/c as people in their 70’s they have eaten all over. Today they asked me if I wanted a burger while I was completing some mundane chore for them. Of course, I said yes! They know I’m not picky so off they went while I was left slaving away. I was expecting Mcdonals or some crap like that since I’ve not explored Clover to much, and I thought I had been in the one place they had(which was also fabulous who knew Clover, SC would be putting out some serious eats) to go for good food. Well, my lovely old comrades came back with these little styrofoam containers. I got a brown bag that contained my two mystery items. I opened my first container. The golden glow of these delicious onion rings blinded me, not really but they were gorgeous looking. I swear they had to be done my a machine b/c they were perfectly battered. Mr said they wouldn’t dare, but I’m a skeptic, nonetheless they were great tasting even after a 7 min car ride in his mobile refrigerator. My next container got opened up and it appeared to me to be a burger on toast. I was quickly corrected. It was toasted sour dough bread. I couldn’t see anything in it there was no spillage or anything so I was like damn this is a plain cheese burger. Then I picked it up and noticed the Carolina classic chili and slaw. My biggest pet peeve is not enough, or to many toppings on a burger. There needs to be some balance guys! Whoever crafted this burger has found it. I tend to stray away from burgers like this b/c they are a mess and end up every where. I can happily say that I managed to eat this entire burger while balancing a check book, and didn’t make a mess. That’s impressive in itself! The taste was epic too, the meat was seemingly hand pressed, cheese was melted to perfection. The slaw/chili ratio was spot on. I will be back to try out more menu items. I didn’t even think about taking a picture till after it was gone… So sorry! Check this place out it is worth it. Can’t wait to dine in!

Least favorite place to eat in clover. If your in the mood for an expensive greasy burger then stop in. The chicken salad sandwich is decent but pair that with fries and a drink and you walk out $ 10 later. Over priced and not much food. Service is snoody and hard to find. Tell them what you want once you finally get waited on because they won’t come back for a while. If we have exhausted all other options in clover then we will stop by here as last resort. Only good thing is the sweet tea and Tony’s ice cream. The only thinks we order off the menu is the smoking ’ joe, sweet potato fries, hamburger, hot dog and tater tots. We’ve narrowed it down to that being our choices. The buffalo bites salad is all crunch and no chicken, waste of money. Make sure to ask them not to over cook the sweet potato fries. That happens a lot and you are left with a basket of crisp that no one wants to eat.

The best hamburgers locally in Clover SC. Service is good and waitresses are very friendly. They have THEBEST iced tea for miles, we always get it to go. Love their berry cobblers too

Decent food, big menu, but nothing really stands out. Although I’m not vegetarian, they do surprisingly have some options for the veggie people. Burgers are decent but still nothing to write home about. Pretty much a middle of the road place but definitely consistent. Friendly staff and quick service gained this place another star in my book.

First off let me say this review is only for the milkshake, as we didn’t eat a meal while we were there. That being said… this hometown hangout is reminiscent in my mind of Mel’s Diner from tv… anybody else remember that??? Anyhoo… our waitress was super friendly and the couple with us ordered their food and were served very quickly! Our milkshakes were very good and I would like to return again and try the food.

I ate here on a whim while passing thru Clover on business. I had been craving a burger, which seems to be their specialty, but after studying the surprisingly expansive menu settled on a turkey sandwich loaded with pepperjack cheese, peppers, onions and jalapenos. Cajun fries for a side. The sandwich was very good, although it kept falling apart and I had to eventually fork feed it to myself. Perhaps it was too much mayo, or not enough bread? The cajun fries were okay, sort of stale. The service was great, and I liked how they left a small pitcher of sweet tea at the table for refills(this is also a great way to fast track diabetes, but I appreciated the gesture!) The desserts looked delicious, but I was stuffed. I can’t say that Clover is the most pleasant place to pass through(IMHO — don’t hate!) but when I have to I will gladly stop by here again the next time I get a case of the stomach growls.

Eagle’s Nest is one of our family’s «stand by» places to eat. Food is always good, staff is friendly and it’s reasonably priced. Although it’s been around for years, the owners will try something new on the menu from time to time. This restaurant also supports the local community, which is always a bonus in my opinion!
