I usually love staying in Econolodges when traveling on the cheap. They’re cheap but they almost always edge out the other budget motel competition when it comes to standards of cleanliness and little touches like nicer TV’s, decent internet speeds, and better breakfast. Much like a little kid, I always get really excited for the make-your-own-waffles in the morning. So I was really bummed to find out they had stopped serving breakfast at 9. I really don’t see any reason why they should stop serving TWO full hours before checkout. Especially when you consider that travelers driving through Indiana have to deal with changing time zones. You’d think they’d at least let me have a plastic bowl and milk to have some cereal but no. They’re really stuck on that 9 o’clock rule. Yeesh.

The room was clean and price was fair. Wifi worked well. They had shampoo in the room but no conditioner. I went down for breakfast at the end of breakfast time and they were out of food because some construction guys were there and they ate it all so that was disappointing.

This place is not up to what the website describes it as. The pool and jacuzzi was broken when i arrived but it was advertised on the website. There was no shampoo or conditioner in the hotel and it should at least have that. The front desk said they were out for several days. Why didn’t you tell me that on check in? The hallways are decorated with some kind of white stains up and down the hallway. The hallways stink of cigarette smoke and smells stale. I would not stay here again for the price that was asked.
