La Hacienda

Being Hispanic it’s pretty hard to like Mexican food especially since its been Americanized. But this place … Jeez this was delicious and fresh. The service was okay but the food definitely made up for it. Keep in mind I live in Marin county and I would be more then happy to drive down there for their food!

Never had a bad meal and service is always good. The pork loin is pretty darn good and is my favorite.

On the way back from glass beach I had to pee so bad. Needed to stop asap! We found ourselves in front of a little Mexican restaurant. The prices were reasonable, food was amazing, and service was quick, polite, and attentive. If we are ever in this neck of the woods again we will be visiting again.

The meat was not cooked well, the rice was incredibly greasy and it was obvious the gucamole on top was old. The take out service was quick but not worth it. The salsa is bland and similar to that out of a Pace jar. We were not greeted upon arrival and had a hard time finding a simple burrito (or any burrito) on the menu. Definitely not authentic and definitely not returning.

The food here is average as are the drinks. They brought out tortilla chips and they were stale and not at all fresh. The refried beans were pretty good but a little on the greasy side. I had flaunts for dinner and they were good. The portions were good size. All in all a decent meal but not outstanding.

The only reason this place gets 1 star is because of the friendly/​fast service. Otherwise this is possibly the worst Mexican restaurant I’ve been to.
I came in and ordered a cheese enchilada with beans/​rice. The cheese tasted like it was rancid, the chips were literally dripping with grease and the salsa was not fresh or flavorful… and it wasn’t just my food. My friend also experienced the same thing. We were the only two people in the place for lunch (they had just opened) but somehow the energy of the place seemed off. Strange décor, I don’t quite know how to describe it.
Sadly, we have never been back since and tell our friends to go somewhere else when asked for recommendations. I have no idea how this place is still in business after all these years. They have a great location downtown which is really a shame since it sucked so much.

Food was what you’d expect — middle of the road Mexican; not a lot of flavor or spice, but definitely edible. The people were nice and the chairs and décor are pretty cool. Would have given them three stars except for the old man waiter that decided to pull out the vacuum cleaner while people were eating and blew nasty dust all around the room and over the food. Then he picked up stuff off of the floor, used a nasty-​looking dishrag to clean a couple of tables and them immediately grabbed a stack of napkins and silverware and started setting tables without cleaning his dirty hands. Just hoping that something bad doesn’t happen internally later…

First time there! Good service, good food and cool funky old atmosphere. I had some strange déjà vu about the building. Which was extra cool, especially since I know I have never been there before.

Food is pretty good Most people love the LA Ha but it could be I’ve just had it to much over the years. Get a to go order of salsa. The next day after getting happy in the frig It Rocks!!!

This place is good, I always get the beef super burrito w/​no rice & no ranchero sauce! Legit

Great authentic Mexican food. Large portions. Separate from bar so you can avoid it. Lovely garden and fountain. Staff is friendly if not fast. The chairs are custom carved! Check out the taxidermy in the bar.

Their food is pretty tasty the service not too good. Took a while to get refills and more chips all in all its a great place. Will be coming back

I really like this place. The food is good, drinks are awesome and the staff is pleasant. The ambiance is great too. Restaurant family dining area and a separate bar room if you want a different atmosphere. I’ve been coming here for 17 yrs!

Good Mexican food overall and the service was great… starts with chips and salsa but the chips are a little too thick for my liking. I order the fajitas and they were great with big portions. Fairly inexpensive for the punt of food you get. The décor is a hacienda villa style. There is a stage for a mariachi band on the weekends. What took away from the experience was that a homeless lady came in asking for food… but the waitress accommodated her which was good in order to get her out of here sooner rather than later. Although I don’t know cloverdale very well, it is probably the best Mexican restaurant here. I would come back again :)

Tasty Mexican food. Sweet wait staff and fairly quick service. Hamburger Ranch just closed their grill at 9:07pm. The waitresses recommended this spot. Thank you, Gals!
Ordered carne asada embillcerado (or sumptin’ like that) lol. Hit the spot and was delicious. Oh I asked if they had an pico de gallo. The nice young man said no but we can make some real quick… And they did!

Wonderful service too and really cool handmade chairs that have La Hacienda carved into the back of each chair. Totally cool stuff. We even came back the 2^nd day in town to get more beans because they were that good.
